Hi,
I have a honeywell evohome and the internet gateway. What is the difference of level of control between the internet gateway setup with domoticz and the HGi80?
Regards,
Patrick

Does anyone know if the HGI80 works with the newer WiFi EvoHome controller? I've got the controller working with Domoticz through the python scripts but would like to get hold of the additional data such as boiler demand and battery levels.

I have the HGI80 working nicely with the latest WI-FI controller. But I don't see any boiler demand or battery levels.

The info is ( should be) available via the data stream but probably no support in Domoticz yet.

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum.
I also want to set up a domoticz server for my home automation. I already have an Evohome set-up for over a year now, with internet gateway for remote control over the alarmnet service. Now I want to integrate this in my domotics. I see nice screenshots of people who succeeded to integrate the Evohome system! I also have a HGI80, because you have more data with this instead of the internet gateway.
I also have a synology NAS, so i can choose between windows OS and Synology OS. I don't know much about Linux, but i've managed to install the latest domoticz package on my NAS, and also the serial drivers package (thx Jumbotroll!). I use a Vision Z-wave stick, and this I manage to get it work. But when I plug in the HGI80, the NAS doesn't create a port...
Anyone some answers? Both to get it work on a windows system and a synology NAS?

The one thing that is holding me back from switching my Domoticz from a Pi to my Synology is the lack of the driver for the HGI80. I have tried as many others have, but cannot get it working.
I also tried to use the Pi solely for the HGI80 and connect to it from Domoticz on the NAS. However, a first test run resulted in way lack of fuctionalities. The units simply didnt show in the Synology Domiticz app as functional units. I notice there a several people interested in working on Domoticz from a Synology including the HGI80 Evohome connection. Why not try to find a working together.
I will try this week again what the result is in the setting of 2 Domoticz installations, the main one on the Synology, the Pi with the Evohome.

Hi all
recently installed domoticz as my first real smart home automation hub. I've pretty much managed to get it to replace my home alarm now, apart from a few snagging list items. I'm really liking it so far in terms of flexibility and the system has been quite stable so far. I've not yet put in any scripts to ensure resilence of my pi, but will do so eventually.
I installed my evohome last september (wifi all-in controller) and the first winter with it has been great. I'm thinking of hooking it up domoticz but wondering what the key use cases are, given the evohome has its own remote control app and the touch screen controller is straightforward too.
UC#1: Something missing (as of today at least) with the evohome is basic "scenes" functionality. I have a schedule for each TRV but since life does not always work to schedule I would like to create a "scene" that defines setpoints for each rad that I can easily switch to. From the wiki (
https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Evohome) it looks like this is still on the roadmap for Domoticz?
UC#2 if I Arm Away, the evohome should be turned off. I know this is feasible, but wondering if evohome direct integration with Domoticz is the best way. The other could be IFTTT I believe, with Domoticz sending an email to the Maker IFTTT channel? evohome already support IFTTT apparently. I'm conscious that Domoticz is open source and bugs can arise. Would the iFTTT route be more reliable?
I know there are a bunch of graphs available in Domoticz with the logging that can occur with direct integration, but is there any killer use case out there people can champion?
Cheers
Hiro
