Change to Beta channel in Settings and you will receive the update.

NOTE: BETA releases may contain bugs.

It says this option isn't working in Windows :(

@CodeItAway

Does it also detect when an activity is activated with the remote?
With the solution I provided some time ago, it check every 10 min if there was an activity active at the moment.

Thanks for this.

You're welcome. It detects when an activity is changing and when the change is completed and updates the status accordingly.

I used to have this functionality implemented as described here.

I renamed mv domoticz_main to _domoticz_main domoticz_main_prenativesupport (in /domoticz/scripts/)
Now lets see if my devices are being created.

Or maybe I did something wrong :D

You can check if the devices are created in Setup->Devices. Device creation is not being logged.
Edit: I see the message: Too many commands missed. That isn't supposed to happen. Was the harmony hub changing activity? Did the log say anything else?

Good job, seriously I really like this feature. I bought a Logitech harmony hub because of the domoticz support.

It seem to work but I get this in my log file :

Tue Sep 9 22:32:22 2014 Harmony Hub: Too many commands missed. Resetting connection.
Tue Sep 9 22:32:23 2014 Harmony Hub: Authentication succesfull

I recently also got the hub. Nice toy. However over here also the errors.
I've replaced unneccesary logs with the XXXXXXX.

Many errors in short time. Domoticz however seems to recognize the scene change when using the remote.

superb work, many thanks for this...sorry if this isn't the right place for this.
I've been using the old method for a few months now and it works a treat when set up properly,
Through the harmony software I'm able to setup sequences, which is basically a macro, i have one to enable and disable 3d on my tv as there are no discrete codes available that I'm aware of, the sequence works perfectly from the harmony software and from the remote....but I've been scratching my head as to how i can trigger these sequences from the domoticz software or the harmonyhubcontrol cli.
if i run config_all from the cli , it lists the sequences with a name and id , but i don't know how to activate the sequence from the cl or domoticz.
Is there any way this can be achieved either from the cli or from the 'native' support that the harmony hub now has?

Native support is not working as expected for me....it seems to work ok for very short while, until it stops responding altogether, I have to reboot to restore functionality.
If it helps I'm getting this error in my log, I should point out the hub is not changing activity when this error occurs....

Wed Sep 10 17:39:37 2014 User: gb160 initiated a switch command
Wed Sep 10 17:39:37 2014 Error: Harmony Hub: Command cannot be sent. Hub is changing activity

Wed Sep 10 17:40:00 2014 Hardware Monitor: Fetching data (System sensors)

I'm also getting the same error messages in the log as the post above this one has detailed.
I'm using a pi.

I'm running Domoticz version 1.1970 on a pi. Also fully up to date using apt-get update/upgrade.

I would like to use the Harmony hub native support, but "Harmony Hub" doesn't appear in the list under setup/hardware/type. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Update - solved!

As I have had Domoticz running for over a year continuously I thought I would try a new install, and copy over my domoticz.db file. The Harmony Hub appeared and is now working fine.

@CodeItAway

I have one suggestion:
When everything is turned off, the switch to turn everything off is On.
Maybe it's better to turn that switch off when everything is off.

And On when something is On.

I thought about this. The PowerOff is an activity in the Harmony hub, but it is unlike the other activities since it has no real On or Off. Maybe it is better to implement it as such in Domoticz. So it will act as a command rather than an on/off switch.

Since the latest harmony hub update I can't control the hub anymore with domoticz.

They must have changed something in that update.

working perfectly, just installed my hub (also had a firmware update)

indeed you could edit the switch and make it a push button

have not checked if it is still working after a long period of time

Oh go on @gizmocuz, rub it in. As if all us Harmony hub owners running Domoticz on windows didn't feel left out enough already :)
