Hi, guys,

I really don't know what I did, but the code "sudo cu -l /dev/ttyUSB0 -s 115200 --parity=none -E q" gives readable vallues for the first time!
After rebooting the pi, i can find the device in domoticz to!

I hope it stays this way!

Thank you guys!

I'd say you were either too expecting or too impatient. You figured that switching on the P1 signal on your meter through Fluvius' web portal would be executed more or less instantly. That's not how it works. The instruction got scheduled for the next communication session which was apparently today. It's not like they have someone constantly watching what you are doing.

Congratulations,

But keep in mind the following issues:

1. Persistent USB (see Wiki)
2. Software upgrade to latest beta, if you want a sensor for your gasmeter,

I can imagine that the port is not immediately activated, but we are discussing this issue already since December 4. Do they send a confirmation, if you ask to activate the P1 port?
Or do they inform the customer about the maximum time they need to activate it?

Regards

Hi FireWizard,

Fluvius confirms that the P1-port is opend.
They don't mension that you still have to log in on there website to switch a slider-button to open the port again.

But that i figured out a while ago...

Hello Mathiasdb,

This is quite important information for Belgian users. I should expect that, if Fluvius confirms that the port is opened, that, if you connect to the port, you will receive data. In the Netherlands, this port is opened by default. So no action from the user is required here.

I didn't know that and could not find any documentation about it and , of course, I was not able to log in at Fluvius and try a "slider".

Would it be possible to create a document with some screenshots for the Belgian user?
This will help Belgian users in the future, as more and more Smart meters will be rolled out in Flanders.

Regards

Hi,
Last Friday i had a SICONI smart meter installed , (belgium)
Today i recieved a P1 usb cable , and set up the hardware for the meter in domoticz.
I get nothing in APPARATEN?

Tested the sudo cu command in this treath , and got following results:
on USB1
sudo cu -l /dev/ttyUSB1 -s 115200 --parity=none -E q
cu: open (/dev/ttyUSB1): Permission denied
cu: /dev/ttyUSB1: Line in use
on USB0
sudo cu -l /dev/ttyUSB0 -s 115200 --parity=none -E q
cu: open (/dev/ttyUSB0): Permission denied
cu: /dev/ttyUSB0: Line in use
I have got a zwave dongle in 1 usb , and a RFX module in a second usb
Is it possible the usb slots are full?

PS: it could be the P1 port is not open yet , its not 72 hours ago from installing the meter (work-hours) The Fluvius website states this!

Hi,

@dagger38

You wrote:

From the website https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... /README.md
The number and type of USB ports on Raspberry Pi depends on the model. The Raspberry Pi Model B is equipped with two USB 2.0 ports; the B+, 2B, 3B and 3B+ have four USB 2.0 ports. The Pi 4 has two USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports. In all models prior to the Pi 4, the USB ports connect to a combo hub/Ethernet chip, which is itself a USB device connected to the single upstream USB port on BCM2835. On the Pi 4, the USB hub chip is connected to the SoC using a PCIe bus.
So, I think, as you know the type of Raspberry Pi, you have, that the one, who knows, if the USB slots are full, is yourself.

You said that you have a Zwave dongle in USB 1 and the RFXCom transceiver in USB 2.

In order to connect the P1 smart meter cable to a third USB, you need at least a model B+, as you can see above.

That you see, that both /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1 are in use, is probably because of those 2 devices.
Did you already insert the P1 cable? And if so in which port?
And if there is no free port, as you have a model B, you have to upgrade the hardware.

Regards

don't forget to do
sudo chmod 666 /dev/ttyUSB0

and make sure domoticz is stopped.
