I ordered an usb hub, so that I can connect the gateway to my raspberry.
I have already P1 meter and rfxcom connected to usb.
Then I can share the rpi with you. (later this week,I hope)
I have a Remeha Tzerra and a (buggy) iSense thermostat.
Running beta firmware 4.0a11.hex in the gateway.
I modified my gateway with 4 status LEDs (and a power LED) on the outside, using an 8 display.
P.s. My OTgateway is on the second floor, next to the boiler. My Pi is on ground level, next to the energie meters. I used an UTP connection (3wires) between the OTgateway and the USB connector. That is working fine.
I noticed that I had to connect the USB to the raspberry and then restart the OTgateway.

Some values are still 0,00 , but that is the same with opentherm monitor on windows PC. My Thermostat/Boiler doesn't support the values.
OpenthermMonitor:
Nice start, Gizmo
I would prefer to have the output from the OTGateway on the Utility tab. But I solved this with a seperate roomplan.

Hmmm this looks very promising! Will order an OTG kit and hook it up to my Remeha Calenta soon.

I would like to control my heatingsystem.
My boiler is opentherm ready, my thermostat is the honeywell IV (not opentherm).
I have RFXcom & z-wave.
What is the best option?
Just buy a new RF thermostat?
Cheers,
Will

Buy a Nefit Easy. I have it, and it's amazing

This also seems very nice to have.
I have a ICY Smart thermostat. Black ICY3815TTB open therm
Does this also?
And what is the best supported hardware for OT?

looks nice indeed ... I understand that the Nefit Easy can“t be linked with domotiz ?

that's prob true. But there will be a webinterface available in the near future. That opens opportunity for integration.
I'm trying to break the thing open, but Wireshark is giving me a hard time. Prob my (lack of) Wireshark experience.

Unfortunately I have a Remeha which isn't supported by nefit easy.
But to make my requirement clear

- adjust the temperature remotely.
- control in domoticz for workflow purposes. (if then els)
- nice to have, statistics (gas uses, temp, etc)
Cheers,
Will

This would be really nice indeed. My otgw is working in Domoticz, but I would like to alter some settings, not only see the values. But it will be a question of time before it will be implemented in this fantastic piece of software

And it would be also nice I can give the temp of my outdoor sensor to the OTGW

@macaidwin,
Wait until i am finished with it
The outside temperature can also be set, and we are going to use a normal temp sensor for this
Unfortunately it will take 2 - 3 weeks before i can finally connect my opentherm gateway. (renovation)
I guess you have connected it with the USB/Serial interface? If i add the TCP/IP support, could you use ser2net and share your gateway with me?
@Tjoep:
- Thats exactly what this gateway does, any device supporting opentherm (that should be all modern devices) will work
- Flow... Lua scripting
- Stats: for sure
With kind regards,
Rob

So, usb to RPI and the cables to the open therm module [RS232 gateway] of the CV.
That's all?
Open Therm is still open therm, which is not dependent on the CV?
One problem, there is no RS232 connection to my Vailliant, owner, incl open therm module.

The picture of the module:

Is there another way to make the USB onto the CV?

@Derik:
You need of course also the opentherm gateway itself, you can also buy them assembled here:
http://www.opentherm-gateway.com/openthem-gateways.html
There are 3 variants:
RS232
USB (that uses a RS232->USB ppl cable)
Lan/Wifi (that uses probably the USB cable as input)
You can also make any serial/usb available with a small daemon application called 'ser2net'
For instance, you can install a Raspberry near your CV, connected with the opentherm-gataway hardware,
and that raspberry sits in your network. Personally i would install 'domoticz' on that remote raspberry....
The main raspberry/domoticz can connect to this.
More infor on the gateway itself can be found here:
http://otgw.tclcode.com/index.html#intro
On the bottom left you find a limited compatibility list (of course not every device has been tested)

Yes, I can. Yes, it is USB/serial connected to my domoticz raspberry.
I did not use ser2net before, but I think it will work. I can open ports in my router for you.
Let me know.
Kind regards
