Really? And you can set the temperature? Setpoint? And room temperature will be reported?

That is correct, setpoint is working, so if i set setpoint at 20° for example and i go to the valve and check it, it is at 20° .
Also if i set the valve directly at 21° for example and i check domoticz, the value has changed to 21°

Room temperature is also working, standardly it is set at 5 => to send updated value of changement of 0.5°C
But i changed it to 3 => 0.3°C

Can you please add the information what Domoticz / OpenZwave version you are using? Will be helpful for other users where it was not working before.

Thanks for reporting!

@ropske can you please share your eur_spiritz.xml and from your manufacturer_specific.xml that you added or changed.
So I can try to make it work if have the same OpenZwave version: Version: 1.4-2713-ge2021e46-dirty
Thanks.

hi,
put eur_spiritz.xml in /Config/eurotronic

this is the part of Eurotronic in my manufacturer_specific.xml:

<Manufacturer id="0148" name="EUROtronic">
<Product type="0001" id="0001" name="EUR_STELLAZ Wall Radiator Thermostat Valve Control" config="eurotronic/eur_stellaz.xml"/>
<Product type="0002" id="0001" name="EUR_COMETZ Wall Radiator Thermostat Valve Control" config="eurotronic/eur_cometz.xml"/>
<Product type="0003" id="0001" name="EUR_SPIRITZ Wall Radiator Thermostat Valve Control" config="eurotronic/eur_spiritz.xml"/>
</Manufacturer>

After this is done/added, i restarted my domoticz and waited 10minutes (so all existing nodes where found)
Then i started to include my eurotronic valves one by one.

I followed this method:
* insert the batteries
* go to the room where the valve needs to be mounted (but do not mount it yet!!)
* include the valve, when its included it will show the nodenumber, and after some seconds it will show again INS
* mount it on the radiotor and when this is done, press again the boost button so the valve will calibrate itself, when it is done calibrating, it will show the current setpoint and you are ready

Ropske rececived my spirit thermostat, how many devices do you see?

I expected also a temperature device (temperature in The room) I this right?

Which devices do you have?

There is a valve temperature meter, i see your id is 0D
Check your complete devices, there be somewhere a temperature device with 0D wit with less 000

For example, my ID for this valve is 15
as you can see a temp device is added with ID: 1501

@ropske: Can you try the "open window detection" with your installation?

1) set in config the "Open Window Detection" to "3" (high sensibility) (maybe check in OZW panel)
2) set thermostat in heating mode - as sample 22 degree
3) open window
-> After some seconds the Thermostat will go to "OFF"
(Please check - will it be changed in Domoticz? - I think yes)
4) close window
5) After some time Thermostat will go back to heating mode
-> What about Domoticz state? Will it be changed back?

It would be important for scripting / scenes...

Thanks for testing!

Hi everyone.
I purchased 4 Spirits Eurotronic thermostat valves and managed to include them.
First issue is the Temp. reading. Room became 22 degrees celsius while the thermostat showed 19,5 degrees. The setpoint was 20 degrees.
I decreased the MeasuredTempReport from 5 to 3, but even then no accurate reading. I'm trying to set 2 and see if this threshold works better.
Had any of you any trouble with the setpoint compared with room temp.?

Does any of you played with the ValveopenReport setting? Is i possible to request valve condition?

I had also timeout of my thermostat valves. changing setpoint will update the zwave communication. This seems logic because non of my settings had changed in 2 days.

Hope to hear your experience :-)
Merry christmas !!

'Room temperature' is actually the temperature of the valve.

I actually mostly never use the 'valve temperature' i use another temperature sensor, for example the fibaro motion sensor or the fibaro smoke sensor, both have temperature sensors in it.

Hi all,
I have installed a Eurotronic spirit. I updated and added the configuration files as instructed by ropske in this thread. Including and installing went without problems.

I have a problem, though. I can set the heating and economy temperatures, and I can read the valve temperature. However, I can't switch between these.
I have a Thermostat Mode device, but this doesn't seem to do anything. I can switch modes in the Hardware settings of my Z-wave USB stick, so the hardware is working.

Any ideas?

Anyway, have a nice new year's eve and a happy new year! :)

Hi,
sorry for the late response, i dont use the thermostat modes actually, mine is Always on Heat mode.
juste take caution, the thermostat setpoints are from 8°C - 28°C
i also have some popp thermostats and these are from 4°C - 28°C

Thanks, Ropske. This solution works and is acceptable. I hope a future upgrade will make switching between modes possible. I am switching between 18 and 24 degrees, so no problem with the range.
