Why change the snapshot function to stream, which does not work?
Or implement both and give the user a choice.

Connection OK

Just gives a black image.

Currently Domoticz supports snapshots (jpg) by default.
The App gets its url from Domoticz.
The App currently only supports streams.
So this will not work, at least galadril did not provided a workaround of some kind.
Besides that my setup is that cameras are only accessable from domoticz (http
s) for security reasons.
The snapshot function did work perfectly with an update of the picture every 1-2 seconds.
So I failed to see the reason to change the functionality to something that is not working anymore.
And no one provides a workaround. Disappointing.
