Keep us posted! I wouldn't be surprised if this was causing your problem. Flashing doesn't use that much power, but once the WiFi radio goes up this can draw up to 140 mA I believe. That may not seem much, but could still be more than these tiny FTDI sticks are built for.

Well.... hooked it up to a 3V supply first.. no luck. Then a lab power supply at 3.3 volts... no luck. Then upped the voltage to 3.6V and... seems pretty stable now with the DS18B20 doing it's work and uploading to domoticz ...
also, got some strange networks showing sometomes after flashing, no ESP_01 but somehting else...
now lets see if I can keep it going for a while....
Edit : Running over 2 hours now without missing a beat... getting a bit confident.....

Still pretty well... just hooked up another DS18B20. Order myself a few mini dc-dc converters for powering the ESP8266. Will go on the recirc pump of the floor heating, switching it on and off based on feed temp and montoring feed temp, return temp and the same on the floor side of the system. So, will see if I get 4 of the DS18B20 running on one ESP. Then, see what more to do with the ESP's !
Thanks all for the support
