@halacs I'm hoping that you are still watching this thread, because I want to try replicate your findings and try figuring out what is done here: http://veillard.com/embedded/midea.html

Seems like this guy had a UART sniffer on the physical dongle, and if your assumption of the Android -> Cloud -> AC data stream is correct, that link might help.

I can also assist wherever possible, I have experiance in Java and embedded hardware, I'm also looking to hook my Midea based WiFi AC into a home automation system.

Also following this topic!
I have 2 airco units, with the same dongle.

1) Qlima
2) Cooper & Hunter

Hope to see a way to let it work with domoticz!

then check:
https://github.com/midea-sdk-org/android-sdk
http://iot.midea.com/android/index.html ... tener.html
https://github.com/midea-sdk-org/ios-sdk
https://github.com/midea-sdk/midea-sdk.github.io

and the skill for Amazon echo

I've purchased a Harmony Hub and planning to control the AC via that.

Hi Everyone,

So after months of struggling with the Ruby app, that uses the online API that is hosted on an Amazon server somewhere, I have decided that I'm putting in the effort to get this working as a plugin for my own use.

I have managed to use the Ruby code and the decompiled APK to reverse engineer a working Python library. My intention was to make the library abstract enough to be usable on its own, and with minimal effort I created a Home Assistant climate platform plugin. I don't know enough about Domoticz, but I have learnt a lot from this forum, hence my post here today.

Just to make it clear, I'm not intending to ever make my library support Domoticz myself, but I will accept pull requests that can enhance the library in order to use it with Domoticz, and will happily host it along side the Home Assistant version.

You can find the code and the instructions here: https://github.com/NeoAcheron/midea-ac-py

The library is also available on PyPi, and is simply called "midea".

I would like to thank everyone in this forum for the technical guidance and posting their findings in order to make this possible!

Happy hacking!

Trying to reactivate this discussion regarding incorporating AC in Domoticz. I have three units (Qlima WiFi) using NetHome Plus. Trying to find out if someone was able to use this function in Domoticz. Any help is appreciated!

I'm interested too, as I have 4 Qlima units, of which three have the wifi module.

I have been messing around for days, trying to integrate different plugins, combinations of versions, modifying the Daikin one, etc but I can't get anything to work. Either Domoticz doesn't see them and they don't show up in the hardware list, or I'm getting errors in all sorts.

There are lots of these units out there and I can hardly imagine that there is not a soul that doesn't want to control their airco from Domoticz.
