Is there any chance you could provide some more instruction on how to install? I'm running Domoticz as a package on a Synology NAS, which makes it a little harder for me to get in and update. From what I gather, I would need to download the openzwave dev branch version 1.6. Then I would need to compile Domoticz from the code you posted. Is it possible to do this without wiping out my existing setup? Can you update an existing install or is it just overwriting everything?

I finally was able to get this working. You'll need to apply patches to Openzwave & Domoticz. I published my patches to Domoticz (and Homebridge plugin) here:
https://github.com/jowerg
A quick video using Domoticz + HomeBridge + Linear GD00Z-4: [removed]
NOTE: You will also need to apply the OpenZWave patch to support the COMMAND_CLASS_BARRIER_OPERATOR:
https://github.com/OpenZWave/open-zwave/issues/490
This will *not* work against the latest OpenZwave as they have revised the BARRIER_OPERATOR support again and it is now different. When I find time I'll try to correct the domoticz pieces, but @jowerg can you please take a look?

I was able to revert the latest OpenZwave changes and get my setup working, but it doesn't fully work. When I trigger an open or a close the garage door will open or close. However, the GD00Z-4 will keep the wires shorted, and this causes the wall unit for the garage door to not work after the GD00Z-4 activates. I have to power off and power on the GD00Z-4 for it to release the short. Is my unit defective?
I have a Chamberlain garage door motor (built 2008, Security + (1.0) wall plate). As far as I know everything should be compatible.

The LiftMaster (Security + 1.0) systems are also not compatible. I talked with Nortek support and they said it must be an incompatibility they did not know about. Now all it is is a glorified open/closed status indicator.
