Hello everyone,

I've got a problem with edomoticz when I update to V2 1 45-46 or 47.

Homebridge can't load my accessoires, but if I go back to V2 1 40 everything work

With v2 1 45+

Something strange, in v40 I see my accessories, edmoticz can see them and I can switch on or off, but in my logs i got this :

I have some other strange thing now...
Because I moved my Homepod mini to the bathroom I wanted it to start playing music as soon as I turn on the light from the bathroom.
That's when I noticed that the status of the light isn't updated in homebridge/homekit anymore.

When I send a switch command in domoticz homebridge and homekit don't see this until I refresh the homebridge ui accessoires page.
When I send the command from within the home app all is instantly up-to-date.
Tried returning to previous versions from homebridge and from edomoticz plugin but none works.

I also tried with 2 browser windows open. Refreshing one of them results in both being up-to-date. Strange thing...

Any ideas?

I think the api calls were updated in the latest release to reflect what Domoticz is using. Is your Domoticz up to date?

since i updated domoticz i keep getting these error messages, and i have traced it back to the edomoticz plugin in homebridge, is there a way to get rid of the errors?

I see you are on homebridge 1.5 which itself is already on 1.7

i don't know if it fixes your problem. But never a good idea to be on old versions, cause very likely the developers will not test to old versions.

In my setup all works fine and i'm on the latest versions of all products:
- Homebridge 1.7
- Domoticz 2024.1
- Edomoticz 2.1.47

I'm trying the homebridge-edomoticz Plugin with homebridge and i noticed that my thermostats were not added.
After a search i've found out that is worling with domtoicz 2023.2, but not with 2024.x

Is somebody experiencing the same problems or does somebody has a solution for this?

I also use domoticz and homebridge/edomoticz. Thermostat support is edomoticz is very limited: you can Only set the setpoint, where in HomeKit the device can also set heating mode, check current temp, etc… domoticz splits this functionality in 4 devices and that’s why edomoticz. Cannot convert

So I Made my own homebridge plug-in for domoticz thermostats: https://github.com/akamming/homebridge ... thermostat

I suggest you use this one. This also works around your issue and you have a better HomeKit experience

Nice add on for Homebridge.
I've also found a Toon plugin for Homebrdige. SInce i've a Toon Thermostat this works better.

Never the less since Domtoicz 2024.x the thermostats are not working any more with Edomoticz.
So the problem lays with a change of Domoticz or Edomoticz needs an update, because i believe there was change in Domotivz for thermostats

I suggest you use this one. This also works around your issue and you have a better HomeKit experience

Alternative is to use homebridge-web-thermostat and NodeRed to knock up a flow that creates the required web endpoints that talk to the required virtual domoticz devices (3x setpoints: Heating, Cooling & Target) & monitors domoticz/in & out MQTT - S'how I've been running thermostats in homebridge for _years_

In a group you multiple devices (switches) you can switch on/off with one click

I have been having problems with edomoticz for a few days, don't ask me why right away.

I haven't changed anything in these settings.
Just did an update of Domoticz - Version: 2025.1 (build 16626) - for the Netatmo login problem ...

And since then I think something is wrong.

When I turn a switch on and off in the home app, this also happens in Domoticz, but when I do it the other way around, turn it on and off in Domoticz, nothing happens in the home app ...

Anyone an idea how and why??

Please verify that you have added the MQTT Hardware Device and that the hardware device is enabled.

No MQTT = no push ability in that direction.
