just query a device, and it re-syncs your devices
Open source Home Automation System

Funnily enough, I've changed the names in Domoticz to 'Living Room Lights' and 'Sofa Lights', again neither is in a room in the Home app and I can switch them on and off with Google but not set a dim level. I then tried another light and that won't dim either, they are LightwaveRF switches. Googles reply is either 'Sorry, it doesn't look like that device is not set up yet....' or 'Sure, setting <device> to <xx> percent brightness' but nothing happens to the light. Whilst the television volume via the 'Sony plugin by G3rard' slider switch works perfectly, Google still says brightness but it does the job.Madgeni wrote: Tuesday 28 November 2017 16:50 the 'Controlicz name override' in the Domoticz description only provide a 'friendly name' for Google and Alexa, the actual names still apply

It does actually work now. Requesting 32% gives 100% brightness, 16% = 50% this is with the LightwaveRF switches.Madgeni wrote: Tuesday 28 November 2017 21:57 I normalise those percentages Thomas, so that shouldn't be the issue.
that's the problem, i think i've handled all use cases, and then along comes another one! Let me see what I can doalanlsmith wrote: Tuesday 28 November 2017 22:16It does actually work now. I remember that in HA-Bridge I added a calculation to interpret 'real' percentages to the 0-32 that the switches required.
As I said the television volume works one to one with requested percentage and actual percentage.
Incidentally the mi-light LEDs also work when requesting 0-100%, so maybe it's just a foible of the LightwaveRF switches?

Hi MichaelM, what is google home answering to your commands ?MichaelM wrote: Wednesday 29 November 2017 22:24 Thanks for adding me to the beta.
I added the devices successfully and named the room "ventilation" and each button a different number from 0 to 3.
(I use domoticz to control my house's ventilation system)
When I say: "Hey Google turn on ventilation 1" , the google home confirms my voice command but nothing happens.
When I try to change the login on the controlicz site google assistant gives me an error, so the login and password were correctly filled in.
What might I have done wrong?
The voice command I use is: hey Google, turn on ventilation 1.ultratoto14 wrote:Hi MichaelM, what is google home answering to your commands ?MichaelM wrote: Wednesday 29 November 2017 22:24 Thanks for adding me to the beta.

It seems that the right command is :
"Hey google turn on 1 in ventilation"
