Sorry if I'm missing something obvious but how do I get my blinds to tilt to midway? So far I have found that if the device is set as 'Venetian Blinds US' then I can make them go all the way up and down and manually stop them mid way via the domoticz panel. And if I change the device to 'Venetian BlinDS EU' I can make them tilt. But how can I can control the tilt and lift independently and how can I make them tilt midway?

Hai,
You probably have a multi-channel remote with 2-channels for each blind.
So I think you should mimic this by defining two independent switches for both Tilt and Lift.
E.g. "Blind Tilt" and "Blind Lift", each set to its own configuration.

Do any have been able to create a Lua script to have a kind of timer for the sonfy blinds?

Using the Venetian blinds the "stop" button works, but it will be nice to have some control (a % like) by timer for those having Sonfy.

This will allow to open/close them for 5-10 secs instead off full open/close status. (Send 'on' and after 10 sec send 'stop')

Thanks for the help ;)

just a quick question
it seems that if you have multiple screens controlled by one remote(telis 4 channel) it might be better to use one code for all and different unit codes.

ID 01 22 11 unit code 1
ID 01 22 11 unit code 2
ID 01 22 11 unit code 3
ID 01 22 11 unit code 4

my question
how can i tell is a code is already in the somfy screen?
what default codes are used by somfy for the first, second remote(so i know which ones to avoid)
what happens if i choose a code which is already used by the default remote? will it work but get out of sync.

You have to pair the Somfy RTS motor using a random code.
There is a very small risk you choose the same ID unit code as the Telis remote.

See chapter 9 in the RFXtrx User Guide how to add an additional "remote" in the Somfy RTS motor.

other question:
why do i need to power off al other somfy screens?
do i not select the right sunscreen by selecting the right channel and then press the back button or will all somfy screen always go in learning mode no matter what channel is selected?

In this post https://www.letscontrolit.com/forum/vie ... 399#p29712 someone captured the hexadecimal address from Somfy remote. Does somone know how to do this. My wife likes domoticz but see likes the Somfy remote more.

There are two reasons why RFXCOM does not receive Somfy RTS.
1 For security: it is not a good idea to have this function available to avoid your neighbor (or burglar) is able to control your screens.
2 If you are going to use the same ID/unit code of the Somfy remote with the RFXtrx433E/XL the Somfy remote will become useless after some time as the rolling code will go out of sync.

See also chapter 9 in the RFXtrx User Guide.

I'm trying to setup the RFXtrx433XL with my Somfy blinds.
I can add a new remote with RFXmngr and control the blinds using packettype RFY and ID 090B01 unit 2 (just random)
Now I move the RFXtrx433XL from the laptop to my Raspberry PI where I can see it in the hardware list on /dev/ttyUSB1
Next step is to create a device with the same ID and unit as before (090B01 and unit 2) but I cannot control the blinds (moving it back to the laptop still works)
I've also tried to program the device from Domoticz using add Manual Light/Switch device and the pressing "Test" with the rights ID and Unit number but that fails to work (it does work with the PC)
What am I missing?

Edit: fixed it, the RFXtrx433XL was conflicting with a USB P1 connector

I'm successfully using the following DzVents script for tilting my Venetian blinds to various positions (day and morning position, controlled by time).

The complete closing time from the open tilt position to close position is +/- 4.5 seconds. So first step is to assure the blinds are fully closed, then i'm tilting the lats for 1.9 seconds (day position) or 2.7 seconds for the morning position. It's triggered by the two dummySwitches DayTiltPosition and MorningTiltPosition.

Code: Select all

return {
    on = {
        devices = {
            'DayTiltPosition',
            'MorningTiltPosition',
        }
    },
    execute = function(domoticz, device)
        local jalzWoonkamerRechts = domoticz.devices('Jalz. woonkamer rechts')
        local jalzWoonkamerLinks = domoticz.devices('Jalz. woonkamer links')

        if (device.name == 'DayTiltPosition' and device.state == 'On') then
            -- Set right somfy motor to the day tilt position
            jalzWoonkamerRechts.close()
            jalzWoonkamerRechts.open().afterSec(5)
            jalzWoonkamerRechts.stop().afterSec(6.9)

            -- Set left somfy motor to the day tilt position
            jalzWoonkamerLinks.close()
            jalzWoonkamerLinks.open().afterSec(5)
            jalzWoonkamerLinks.stop().afterSec(6.9)

            -- Set dummySwitch off
            device.switchOff()
        end

        if (device.name == 'MorningTiltPosition' and device.state == 'On') then
            -- Set right somfy motor to the morning tilt position
            jalzWoonkamerRechts.close()
            jalzWoonkamerRechts.open().afterSec(5)
            jalzWoonkamerRechts.stop().afterSec(8.7)

            -- Set left somfy motor to the morning tilt position
            jalzWoonkamerLinks.close()
            jalzWoonkamerLinks.open().afterSec(5)
            jalzWoonkamerLinks.stop().afterSec(8.7)

Are you using a RF-link or a RFX?
I am using the RF-link. There is +/- 3 sec. between commands. Not easy to send a stop command after 1.9 sec

The RFXtrx has a delay of about 0,270 seconds between RTS commands.

One of my blind motors was defect and exchanged to a new one (RTS20/17) but I'm not able to pair it again with my RFXtrx433E , it is only paired with a Telis 4 RTS.
  • I'm using the RFXmng directly
  • I already updated to most recent firmware Pro1/1041
  • then I enter program mode with the original remote (pressing both up/down buttons) -> getting an ACK (short up/down of the blind)
  • then in RFXmng using "Transmit" button with "program" option and with my desired IDs but I don't get any ACK from the blind motor (but only from RFXTrx433 device). I also tried the program 2s/7s option, but no ACK , too.

The other / older 6 devices still working fine !

Any ideas or are there some new known restriction due to manufacturer !?

check if the motor can be paired after a factory reset of the motor.

I looking for information about the RFXcom.

At this moment i am running a RF-link, to control curtains and blinds.
The curtains work. The blinds also work, but not how i would like them to work.
The blinds are only moving a little bit when giving the command. I hoped the support on the RF-link was great, but until now i am knocking on a closed door where nobody is home. Therefor I am not happy with RF-link and looking if RFXcom could be the solution I am looking for.

I want to get it working, with the somfy curtains and blinds i have.
So i have some questions. Hopefully somebody can help me.

- Does RFXcom support the functions UP + DOWN + MY (stop)?
- Somfy RTS curtains could be paired?
- Somfy RTS Tilt 50 motor could be paired?
- When RTS Tilt 50 could be paired, when i give UP command. They go all the way UP, or only a little step?

I use RFY for our Somfy RTS sunscreen from yesterday on, and it worked right from the start.
Now i have several "Blind" options active in the RFXtrx433 XL settings.
Which one(s) are used for the RTS, and which can be set to inactive?
Probably it is not advisable to activate all these options.

The current settings are:
