Add some devices to a Room Plan in your Domoticz, and try again
I have several Room Plans (but no floor plans) with many devices in. My email addresses I've tried with end in ...inson.com (one is a google account, the other a google app account).

Thanks
the 'family' one seems to be working fine? So when you link in Google Home, link to Controlicz with that one.
I've tried to do that repeatedly and finally it has worked. No idea what the issue was; I just kept hammering at it, and eventually it linked! Thank you so much for your work, and taking the time to investigate my issue for me. It is much appreciated.

congratulations for the service you created I wanted to ask what, until yesterday the shutters that I have at home controlled by domoticz google assistant saw them as light bulbs so I could set the%. The situation has changed now google assistant sees them as switches and I can no longer adjust but only open and close.
Hi - we need to talk about blinds: Some people are unhappy with them being seen as lights, as with Google you can say "turn off all the lights in the bedroom" and it will close/open the blinds as well.
However, changing them to switches makes them on/off.

I've made a change, can someone with blinds do a sync and see if they can set the percentage? They will still show as switches.
Then the situation has changed, I tried now google accepts adjustment as a percentage but continues to open and close everything without shaking the percentage set.

Not, accept the command but completely closes the shutter

Hi Madgeni,
I have some problems using controlicz on my system...

Created the user (with user rights) in domoticz, set the password, https is working fine and system is reachable from the outside (checked with TOR).
Domain and port are correct.
Created the user on your website, I can login but the test fails ("Controlicz is unable to connect - please check your config").
Can you help me please?
My email address is [email protected]

Thanks!
mantoz

I hate that Test button :)

I'll take a look - and add some decent feedback to the Test - eventually :)

Can you delete the Controlicz cookie and try again? I can't see any test from you?

I just tried again (about at 15.50 local time), deleting the controlicz cookie.
I'm using two different browsers and I get different results: after logging in in controlicz.com and clicking on the test button, with Firefox I get the error popup (unable to connect), while in Chrome I get a browser popup asking for my credentials (Authorization request), but whatever credentials I enter it keeps on asking.

Thanks,
mantoz

Hi Madgeni, i encountering a strange behaviour for two specific room: the bath and the kitchen.

in the bath i have two lights, described in domoticz as:
Controlicz:Bath Light
Controlicz:Bath Mirror Light

Controlicz:Kitchen Light
Controlicz:Kitchen Top Light

When i call "ok google, turn on/off bath light" it answer something like "sorry, i dont know what light do you mean".
So they are indeed two lights in the bathroom, but just one is called Bath Light.
The same behaviour is happen with the kitchen, all other rooms works fine... how can i workaround that?

Probably GH thinks that both words contain kitchen bath, try to change one light word with lux (or another word) and I think It will works.

Google home is being “smart”.
Make sure room names and device names are not the same. I have front garden and back garden defined as rooms. If I say “turn on garden light”, it will even know both are gardens, and turn on the lights in both front and back garden. Giving one of your lights the name garden light, will be confusing to GH.
Also GH will know a light switch is a light. So if I have a light called couch, saying “turn on the couch”, will do the same as “turn on the couch light”.
Also both turn on “living room” and “turn on living room lights”. Will turn on all lights in that room.

The weird thing is that even if I change the nickname in a device and say a word that was contained in the original one, it still try to activate that device.
Very strange.

Sorry to ask again, but is there any news about this issue?
I also tried a different pc, a different internet connection, but with the same results. In addition, it's not clear to me which credentials the site is asking me.

Thanks,
mantoz

Just another gentle reminder that if you're using Controlicz for business, that's great, but stick a few $, £, or € in the tip jar please :)

I have controlicz working for the most part thanks!
The issue I am having is that no new devices or scenes are seem to be recognized. I started using controlicz without using any authentication to domoticz. I created an admin user and filled in those credentials into controlicz.com and everything seemed to work and devices were included in the google home. Then I thought it would not be a wise idea to fully open domoticz to the internet without authentication so I turned on authentication (login page) and a port forward 443 from my router to domoticz. Then I see on the controlicz.com site that controlicz is not able to connect to domoticz (using the credentials of the login page of domoticz which are the same as the created admin user). I still can use the devices though on the google home? But I added a scene to a roomplan and that is not recognized in google home

edit: the strange thing is that when I changed the user in domoticz to the same credentials as the login page of domoticz, google home devices do not work anymore. When I change it back to the original user name and password (that I had used before enabling the authentication of domoticz) it works again
