Other than restarting your Gateway I don't know what else to suggest I'm afraid.

My issues yesterday were that I'd not enabled the LAN Protocol, and then before that the Gateway app couldn't talk to the Gateway because of my rather complicated firewall setup. Once I'd got those out of the way then the devices were populated in Domoticz instantly.

Quite a few people seem to have the browser cache issue. I use Firefox and have had the occasional issue but when in doubt I've tried IE11 just to make sure.

Using Firefox and Chrome, and I will try everything from scratch in a few hours. No other settings have to be changed, right? If it doesn't work, I will try to get an Android device tomorrow to have another go at it......

If the Apple app works fine with the Gateway but Domoticz doesn't then the two obviously can't communicate.

It could also be that something on Synology is using port 9898 already. Installing Darkstat might help to highlight this.

As far as I knew, port 9898 wasn't used on the Synology. Installed DarkStat to make sure and indeed, port 9898 isn't used.

The chance that the password isn't correct is pretty big I think. And that might be the cause they aren't communicating. Right?

There is no other way to fix this password issue but having an Android device right? There is no webserver or so in the gateway...? Than I have to wait until tomorrow evening unfortunately.

I don't use Chrome but can you not install Android apps under Chrome, or perhaps you could do it under an Android emulator if you can't wait until tomorrow.

I don't know if the Gateway runs a web server but I haven't probed it to be honest.

It could worth using Wireshark to see if there are any communications between the Gateway and Synology. That may give you a clue.

In my case using port 54321 did the trick. You can give it a try?!

Good luck.

I saw your solution, but trying that port didn't help either. Going to try to get the .apk for the Android app. If this doesn't work, I'll have to wait :(

Your name looks Dutch. Do you probably have such a nice Experia router from KPN? I couldn't get it to work either until I set up a whole new network.

Nope. Thanks for trying to help out. I have Ziggo as provider and use my own Netgear router. I really hope the password is the problem.

I also hope the password is your problem, Otherwise overlook the settings for multicasting on your router. that can be the problem.
I think I know how you feel, I also struggled more the 1 week but in the end: it will work, we only have to find what withholds the system ;)

There are no multicasting settings on my router. Not as far as I can find. It's a Netgear WNDR4500 and I overlooked all settings. I know it will work someday, and so I hope it's the password.

I just tried Droid4X with the Mi Home app, but that also didn't really work. Oh well....maybe tomorrow....

Edit: I have only "GMP-proxy uitschakelen" and that was selected. Deselecting didn't help though.

Maybe try a install of Domoticz on Windows rather than Synology? That may get you a step closer.

Alternatively, you could try Wireshark.

Wireshark: not familiar with it. Installed it, but what does it tell me?

Domoticz on Windows: the download from the Domoticz website is a version without the Xiaomi gateway, so no luck either......

Wireshark will tell you a lot. You want to add an IP filter for your Gateway and perhaps see if there are any connection attempts to it from your Domoticz IP.

It tells me too much I guess. Tried to follow some tutorials, but I can't figure out what to do or even where to start. I'll report back tomorrow after trying the Samsung to regenerate a password.

Edit:

OK, got the tip to use "ip.src==192.168.0.24" as a filter and it showed me a lot of (red) UPD packets.

I deleted the app from my iPhone and installed the app again. Logged in and had to add the gateway and sensors again. So I did. But, it asked me to upgrade the firmware again (?). So I did. After I added the sensors, it showed me the sensors in Domoticz !!
I added them and they work fine.

But....still no gateway in the devices list. Could this be due to the password? Or is the password OK because I see the sensors?
If so, why can't I see the gateway itself in the devices list?

After waiting a while, the gateway suddenly appeared in the devices list. Will the battery statuses also appear when I wait a bit longer :) ?

Edit:

After waiting a bit longer, also the battery statuses are now visible in the devices list :D

Better battery level reporting is in the works but secondary to getting the above functions working properly.
Wow the addition of the sound is promising! We could use it as a real alarm device.
Is this only applicable with the new hub firmware or also with the previous version?

Corbin give his github fork, just test it.

This need more improvement now.

He is working on it.

For sound playing (sound level, inside sound and your personnalise sound store on the gateway : no webradio, no tts streaming OK ! Just sound loaded on the gateway via mihome app) batterie report and illumination sensor (who isn't à Real Lux device sensor) you need to update your gateway to Fw 1.4.1_144.0141.

Let's works on it now.
