Gizmocuz, how could we put that kind of request at Quby?

I'll also try to contact someone in my company about this, because we help Quby with the API development. I'm trying to found out who I should contact.

Hi Gizmocus,
did you receive the credentials?
Are you able to continue with them?
Just currious.

best regards and a Happy Newyear

Hi Gizmocus,

Thanks for the hard work already!
Is there already some more information or do you need more credentials to test?

A quick heads up for all Toon users - apparently the latest Toon update (3.7.8) no longer works with toonopafstand.eneco.nl (de Toon koppeling via de web versie Toonopafstand ook niet meer onderhouden wordt). I guess this means that if you update the Toon to this version, you will lose the ability to connect to Toon from Domoticz. I have not tried/tested this (although I would like the update as it fixes the 'weekend program' bug apparently). I wonder if the API will ever become a reality so we can get past being at the complete mercy of Eneco and their constant service centre issues...

I wasn't aware of this... so after not delivering an app for Windows (Mobile) users now they also cut the only option that was still left?!?

Currently there is an issue with the service center...again :(

I have moved my Domoticz installation to an old tablet that I have placed near my smart meter. Got me a P1 cable and an RJ11 splitter. I only need to figure out which cable(s) I need to cut in the splitter before connecting it. No more dependency of the Eneco service center!

Ja - Eneco seems to have an ongoing problem with their 'service provider' - always good to blame someone else. The problem is with Eneco irrespective of their provider. They chose them, contracted with them and are responsible for determining the SLAs and OLAs...Oh well, at least I'm not entirely dependent on their shitty service. As far as the RJ11 splitter, I went exactly the same route initially and then installed a splitter with an optocoupler so there could be no galvanic interference (although the cheap splitter worked just fine). Clear instructions on which pin/cable to cut/remove herehttp://www.smartmeterdashboard.nl/blog/ ... p1-signaal
and link to iungo splitter here https://www.iungo.nl/nl/bestellen/i/81- ... t-splitter. To be honest, I've had it with Toon. I don't care about the weather and traffic info (I've got a smartphone that is far better delivering this); the gas/electric usage is better managed in Domoticz and I get far more info from my CV using an ESP8266. Toon promised an API years ago and haven't ever delivered it. Since they look to be killing off access its time for it to go. I'm undecided as to whether to get an iSense or Tado. iSense I can control remotely and adjust as I see fit and definitely works with my Remeha CV, Domoticz, and requires no 'service centre'. Tado I can actually locate in a decent 'reference space' (my thermostat wiring is in the wrong place), expand with additional thermostats and/or radiator valves for more granular zone control, access remotely and has a well documented API (although unofficially for now), plus I only have to commit to rent for a year. Downside is that it needs a connection to a 'Tado service centre', but all I've read so far is how good their customer support has been.

Toon.py replies with

Code: Select all

requests.exceptions.ConnectionError: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='toonopafstand.eneco.nl', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /toonMobileBackendWeb/client/login?username=wtrdk&password=xxxxxxsxx (Caused by NewConnectionError('<requests.packages.urllib3.connection.VerifiedHTTPSConnection object at 0x7f8f1b5d4150>: Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 110] Connection timed out',))
Anyone have a solution yet?

Mine runs 3.7.9 and data still comes in. However, very happy with my p1 cable directly to my Domoticz machine!

A few post up Plantje wrote about getting a RJ11 splitter and an old tablet. Not something I would like to do. Toon/Eneco should get this working again.

Btw, with version 3.7.9 of Toon I can still connect to Toonopafstand, and get the data.

Yes, of course. What do you want to know?

Perhaps a brief explanation of it can make it to the Wiki pages.

Can you upload a foto of the kind of cables you used to connect toon directly to your Raspberry? This is a foto of my setup.

The P1 cable goes directly to the ''smart meter'', so i guess you need a splitter. Which one? But where do you split it?. At A or at B, and which cable do you need to connect it to the raspberry (usb to RJ11?)

I bought a p1 poort splitter https://www.iungo.nl/nl/bestellen/i/453 ... t-splitter and a Slimme Meter Kabel https://www.robbshop.nl/slimme-meter-kabel
The p1 poort splitter comes with a P1 cable you can put in P1 B and in the p1 poort splitter input. The Toon P1 cable goes in p1 poort splitter master input en the Slimme Meter Kabel goes in p1 poort splitter slave input. https://www.iungo.nl/images/pdf/iungo-h ... 022017.pdf.
Add hardware P1 Smart Meter USB and you get 2 devices: Energy and Gas.
My meter is a DSMR 4.2 Slimme meter and I had to set it to 115200 Baud in Domoticz.

I went to Okaphone in Groningen and bought me a P1 cable and a pretty dumb splitter. This is the splitter:
https://d1b6tx2agdphz5.cloudfront.net/e ... 3f7327.jpg

Since the smart meter only needs to get 5Volt from one source you'll have to cut one of the cables in the splitter that pushes 5Volt. In my case it was the black one. Aware: the Toon interface only puts 5Volt on that second pin if you actually have something connected. I made sure the Toon interface puts 5 Volt on the second pin; that one will be always on.

My setup is as follows:
Domoticz tablet -->
______________________Splitter --> Smart meter
Toon Interface --->

So, in my case it is more like a funnel :)

After purchasing the P1 cable I got in contact with the guys from this dashboard:
http://www.smartmeterdashboard.nl/blog/ ... p1-signaal
I recommend you to buy the P1 cable from them. It's cheaper, you get better support and I have the impression that it's the same cable
