I already posted this in the scripts forum but didn't get any reaction so perhaps it was the wrong forum and should ask it here, so here we go:
My Fibaro motion sensor is able to send an alarm frame to associated devices (in group 2 I believe), like dimmers/switched or sirens which triggers in alarm in them. A dimmer/switch which supports this (like the Fibaro dimmers micromodules) would then turn on and off lights for n amount of minutes and an siren would go off.
Would it be possible to send such alarm frame via domoticz/domoticz API? Or via a lua script? To trigger the alarm which support this alarm frame?
Thanks
Stef

ok never mind, I understood that because z-wave is in fact a closed protocol, alarm class is not supported by open z-wave (yet).

I expected this to be implemented already, as it would be very useful to be able to detect tampers or alarms from various sources and then relay through domoticz into your z-wave network as an alarm frame.. It's probably more an openzwave thing, but this functionality definitely has my vote!
