Domoticz and RS-485 connection

Hi,
I have a question to control device with Domoticz trought serial interface RS-485.

Currently I have Exta Free system in my home, is very simple system for control lightnings.

I have few modules for control lightning on/off without feedback, just send a command. Is possible to control modules trought RS-485 translator RS485/EXTA FREE RXM-0.

Is it possible to control with Domoticz by sending information.
I` dlike to control lights by Domoticz use my Exta Free system. When I press switch light in Domoticz, it have to be send to RS-485 translator.

Any advice?

You have to have separate app or script what does the actual modbus call. You can call this app/script from "on action" and "off action" field in switch settings(edit switch).

I was also thinking to use Arduino and mysensor gateway connected via usb to domoticz.

I`d like to write a program in Python which send a string use a MODBUS RTU as master. I will use in Domoticz script lua assigned with switch which will start python program.
For example: I press light switch, then lua script will start program in python which will start send command trough Modbus?
Is it correct way?

Anybody can write me program like that? I will Pay ofcourse..

Take a look at https://minimalmodbus.readthedocs.io/en ... ical-usage. Just remove the read part and set correct values and you are good to try.

After first tests you can add command line arguments reading. So you can give command line parameters of where to connect and what switch and what value. http://www.tutorialspoint.com/python/py ... uments.htm
