Custom virtual sensor

Hello all,

I have a lua script collecting some astronomical data. Now I have to save, say moon rise (this is time). I created a custom virtual sensor, but I struggling to save time in a format hh:mm into the sensor. Is it possible at all? The time is saved either as hh or as mm or hhmm but not as hh:mm. Maybe there is another virtual sensor better suited for this purpose?
