Device Auto reporting

Hi all, just got my first Z-wave controller and devices but can't get my head around the options here:

If the tick interval is 30 mins as seen here, does that mean it:
a) reports 12 times per 30 minutes (i.e. every 2.5 minutes)
b) reports every 12 * 30 min tick (i.e. every 6 hours)

This is on a dlink motion/temp/lux sensor so would really appreciate if anyone else has one/similar and could give me an idea of sensible values for all these options!

I would think 12 * 30 mins. But, last update time of the device will make that quickly visible.
