I have been working with Domoticz now for a few months and am increasingly happy with this.
Clearly this is an open-source project with many constructive contributors. Good job!
But, as the saying goes: nothing is perfect. So I have a few usability suggestions, mainly about the setup and layout of the Domoticz server pages.
First, the "dashboard" page is very good, since you can add or omit devices as to need. Many switches that I have are never actually used directly, but only indirectly through scenes or switches.
So my Dashboard only contains a handful of switches, while my "Switches" page contains dozens.
But one thing is missing on the Dashboard: the devices loose their "log" button. If I want to see the change of temperature, I have to go to another page and find the device, then press the log button.
So, suggestion # 1: add the "log" button to the device on the dashboard.
Next suggestion is for keeping a neat "switches" page. I have dozens of devices there, and have no good way to organize them.
Suggestion # 2: support the use of folders on the switches page. This way I can group my switches together into logical folders. For instance put all PIR sensors together, etcetera.
Suggestion # 3: support sorting of the icons on the page. Sorting as to name would be helpful, but also sorting as to device type.

Re: usability suggestions
Hi,
#1. Clicking a temperature, weather or utility device Icon on the Dashboard brings up it's log page.
#2. Group your Switches using the "Room Plan" feature. You can have PIRs all grouped in a "Room" called PIR. Pull down the list box and select.
#3. Using "Room Plan" and "Drag" can this be achieved?
Hope that helps a bit.

#1: ah, got it. Not very intuitive, but OK. Once you know...StanHD wrote:Hi,

#2: by Room Plan you mean "floor plan"? I enabled it in the settings, and can see the new tab. But I don't see a way to use it. No list box..

Re: usability suggestions
#2 : Setup --> more options --> plans --> roomplan -->
there you can add 'rooms' ("Add plan" on top right) and then you can add your switches to those rooms (select the room and then at the buttom of the page select your device and add it
