Re: Action Promax / Kaku Alternative
Hi, FYI for whoever also has action Promax switches, supplied debug info to Stunteam, received test firmware which brought my switches alive.Stuntteam wrote:send a PM regarding a test..

Many thanks!

Re: Action Promax / Kaku Alternative
Same problem here with ProMAX switches. I am running RFLink with firmware r39. It is detecting on/off from the remote but it can't control the switches from RFLink. Did the change from the test firmware make it in r39?afaber wrote:I've got the same issue, receiving 4 messages

EDIT: Was not an issue in the firmware, but my Arduino had insufficient power. ProMAX works as intended with RFLink.

Re: Action Promax / Kaku Alternative
I've read this topic with great interest as I bought the action switches as well for my domoticz system.
I am running domoticz on my synology. Kaku switch works like a charm but the ProMax Switches don't. Remote control works perfect.
Any luck with implementations on synology?

Re: Action Promax / Kaku Alternative
ProMax is fully supported. If you experience problems then make a debug log of your original remote control as explained here:

and mail the results to [email protected]

Re: Action Promax / Kaku Alternative
I bought a Promax set from action today but i didn't get it to work.
The problem is described as in this topic and i thought IT protocol would be the solution for me but unfortunately not..
When i learn the remote controller it says BSBB new:
Screenshot.

Adding manually does'nt work either.
EDIT:
Nevermind, i will return this set ASAP.
The devices felt slightly warm in a short period of time. That's why i decided to measure the power consumption. Almost 6 VoltAmps !
On the left the Promax, on the right a KAKU ACD 200 dimmer...

Re: Action Promax / Kaku Alternative
I just tried a set of three of these. With the latest firmware, seems to run just fine.
Synology DS213, RFXtrx433E, COCO, HomeEasy, Promax, Denon, Philips TV, Logitech Harmony, Nest, Smart meters.

Slightly offtopic...jjonkie wrote: Nevermind, i will return this set ASAP.

VA's is apparent power, your electricity meter from the utility company only 'sees' the active power in watts (so that would be 0,7 instead of 6) and you are only billed for the active power.
More info : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC_power
So things are not as disastrous as it seems
