RFXtrx433 not seeing data from OWL CM113
After a previous thread related to the CM113 showing up as a ZWave device I did a full reset of the CM113 and the accompanying OWL monitor.
The reset went OK and the monitor sees the changing power status from the CM113, but the RFXtrx433 doesn't. I have checked using RFXMngr and ensuring the Oregon scientific protocol is enabled (which it is, along with Byron and AC), but no data shows up on the RFXMngr screen.
Any ideas?
Gareth

Which RFXcom firmware are you using?
Versions up to 1001 won't see Owls if Byron is enabled.

Disable the Byron SX protocol and see if it works then. If it does, email [email protected]garethhowell wrote:After a previous thread related to the CM113 showing up as a ZWave device I did a full reset of the CM113 and the accompanying OWL monitor.

Running Domoticz on Pi3 with RFXtrx433e. LWRF power sockets and dimmer switches. Integrated my existing wirefree alarm PIRs and door contacts with domoticz. Geofencing with Pilot. Harmony Hub. Tado for Heating. Now playing with mysensors.

Thanks for the quick responses. Disabling the Byron protocol does allow the kWH reading to appear, which is encouraging.
I have "93" firmware, so it probably needs to be upgraded. Looking at the RFXcomm site, there is type1 and type2 firmware for the RFXtrx433. The User Guide sort of indicates Type1.
I'll try that.

Re: RFXtrx433 not seeing data from OWL CM113
I was on v1001 and my RFXtrx433e wouldn't work so I emailed support @ RFXcom and he sent me the beta v1002 which isn't released yet and that worked perfectly for me.

Re: RFXtrx433 not seeing data from OWL CM113
OK, RFXcomm provided me with the 1002 beta and I can now see data from the CM113. Incidentally, I was seeing some Oregon data from the external weather sensor, but not from the CM113.
The remaining issue is that I'm only seeing the cumulative total energy in kWH. I'm not seeing the instantaneous readings.
I know they are being sent because the OWL is displaying them. The Domoticz log is showing regular updates from the CM113 but it doesn't seem to be interpreting them as instantaneous readings. If it's relevant, the Devices screen shows the CM113 as a "Regular" type, whereas before it was showing as a OWL. Can I change this somehow?

Re: RFXtrx433 not seeing data from OWL CM113
Which transmitter do you have?
I've got a CMR113 sender, automatically added as device type 'Current CM113, Electrisave'
It's a 3 input 'Ampere (3-phase)' device.

Actually, now that I Iook at the device, rather than rely on flaky memory, I see it's a CMR160 not a 113. My bad.
It's still a supported device though.

Google has just revealed that I already raised this exact problem back last September, but it never reached a conclusion.

Re: RFXtrx433 not seeing data from OWL CM113
Thanks. That's quite an old thread and I'm running the latest firmware.
It's not the RFX. If I plug it into RFXmgr I see instantaneous and cumulative power data. However, Domoticz appears not to be recognising the device properly.
