Is there a straightforward way in Lua to get the 'Today' value from an 'Electric (Instant+Counter)' device?
I guess it's done internally by the device using SQL.
Zwave - Sigma Z+ stick, Fibaro, Horstmann, Neo Coolcam, EUROtronic
RFlink - IR detectors and temperatures
Wifi - YeeLights, ESP32s, Anoop sockets
Zigbee - lots with zigbee2mqtt and ZbBridge
