Show a small icon (lock?) in the dashboard if switch is protected

Post by blitzkneisser »

I had the issue that a script was not working anymore because I had a switch protected, which I did not remember anymore.
So, would it be possible to have e.g. a small lock icon on the dashboard view next to the switch/item? This would give an excellent overview of which items are protected. Or maybe have at least a separate column in the devices view showing the lock status?

You can see it in the switch view. The protected switches have a different color.

They have? I just checked, not im my case.
The same grey/yellow bulb as for other switches. Also, the frame does not look any different. Is that maybe depending on the theme? And how would that work with custom icons?

Sure depending on selected theme.
Custom icons? Not sure for now.

Default and ThinkTheme are the one's with a blue/purple like banner when the device (not only switches) is protected.

STrange. I'm back on default with mostly default icons and there's still no banner, different color or whatsoever...

Default theme. Light blue is unprotected, purple blue is protected.

Weird. I tried all themes, even different languages. Ok, but obviously the feature is already available... Thanks for the information...

I cant tell if you also tried clearing cache? Mostly changing themes will do. However manually clearing total or specific sites can help.

Cant recall the actual name, but in the www directory is an appcache 'text' file. Change it by adding a aspace save and remove space and save... Will Force the files mentioned in taht file to be reloaded.

Using this to force my tablet to reload every two weeks the WebApped Domoticz site in Chrome.

Chrome has a very persistent cache. I struggle a lot with it. Even after clearing it at chrome://appcache-internals it keeps acting up. When you open a Private Browser window, it should work without caching issues.

That's odd... now I have the default style complete with the different colours. Looks like caching really messes switching themes up. Currently, I don't manage to swich to another Teme... weird.
OK, but at least the different colours in default seem to work.
Thanks for your help!
