I was wondering if you can force a device to re-connect from a script (python/lua/json/...)
I have been looking around the wiki and the forum but could not find anything on this.
Some devices I have set an data timeout, but some I want to be able to re-connect when I need them, or just once a day to be sure.
For instance some sensors that I only want to check during some events.
I have relays to the GPIO of a raspberry that can power sensors on or off, when I need them, I power them on and want domoticz to connect to the sensor for a fixed time before I power the sensor back down.
I'm thinking about checking my ventilation system every week or so. have a pressure sensor in the in and outlet of the fanbox, toggle the fanbox over the 4 available settings and record the pressure at the in and outlet... when the pressure delta is shifting, I need to clean the fanbox.
Or measuring the energy efficiency of my heating system, by the gas usage/modulation level to the heat transfered into the water circulation system vs the residual heat leaving through the exhaust, shifting recondenstationpoint will result in more heat being wasted, meaning that I have to clean the burner of the heating system.
These kind of checks only need to run weekly or monthly or so

Re: re-connecting to hardware
maybe a Json() updatedevice call can do the job to retrigger, (but I am not sure)
