Re: SolarEdge in Latest Beta / Port Number
As a newbee on this forum I first of all like to thank everybody working on Domoticz for the great job there doing.
As from last week I have a RPI 2 B running the Domoticz V2 3530 SD version logging our smart meter. This works without any problem.
As we are also the owner of an SolarEdge SE2200 inverter with communication hardware/software 3.x I was not able to use the standard SolarEdge over LAN option. The error logging that was previous reported on the forum
I requested the API number from our installer and tested it on a Windows 7 based installation V2.4298 Hardware installation SolarEdge via Web API
This works perfect, aldo I did see a little typo on the Freq. were it says % in stead of Hz. (Minor detail)
To get the same working on my production Raspberry I copied the lua script from Yobby, put the requested site API, siteID and virtual device ID in.
Checking the the logging I found the following error message:
2016-02-01 14:20:00.102 Error: EventSystem: /home/pi/domoticz/scripts/lua/script_time_SolarEdge.lua:1: syntax error near char(194)
As I am not a programmer I could not see were this syntax error is. Maybe somebody can give me the solution to solve this.
Thanks in Advance.
Rene

Re: SolarEdge in Latest Beta / Port Number
Hi Twimpy,
Thanks for your quick respons. I would love to do so, as it works fine this way in my Windows test environment.
But as stated my post I am running the advised Raspberry SD image V2. 3530 that does not have this option.
As I can see you are running an other version and I don't have a clue how to upgrade to the last stable release.

Re: SolarEdge in Latest Beta / Port Number
Hi ..
I'm on 2.4623 (using JumboTroll's synology package)
I've added the SolarEdge via Web API but no devices show up.
The used site id / serial / api key must be correct because I used them to do some manual API requests in the browser.
(Also there are no error in the logs; only SolarEdge API worker started)
Can anybody give me a hint on what is causing the devices not to show up?

Things to check you have really got the ids right and the sun is outyvoswillens wrote:Can anybody give me a hint on what is causing the devices not to show up?
More likely, have you allowed new devices in settings and have you transferred the devices into the utility / temperature pages - Setup/Settings accept new devices for 5 minutes, then Setup/Devices use the green arrow next to the SolarEdge devices to move them to the utility / temperature pages.

Re: SolarEdge in Latest Beta / Port Number
Got the same problem.
Allowed new hardware for 5 minutes, added Solaredge via Web API
Solaredge worker started
No devices visible in the table.
I'm running beta V2.4768
Rebooted a couple of times as well.

Re: SolarEdge in Latest Beta / Port Number
Have you check for the log for any errors?
Is it dark at the moment?
Wait until the sun comes up and then allow new hardware for 5 minutes and the devices should appear.

Got it. It even picked up the data without the device connected.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: SolarEdge in Latest Beta / Port Number
Hi,
I'm new in the forum and new with solarpanels, but not new with Domoticz.
The panels were installed last week and the installers didn't know anything about API's, or how to request them. So before I éver get the API,
for now I've set my hopes on serial-connecting to the inverter, change the address and use the LAN method.
But I need software v2 for that? Can anyone point me in the right direction for that?
Thanks!

Re: SolarEdge in Latest Beta / Port Number
I had the same problem with my installer.
When the installer creates the user/portal entrance for you, he is probably the admin.
On one of the utmost right tabs/settings somewhere is the api key. Just ket you sent a printscreen, worked for me.
Besides that, I have an additional Pi with already a serial interface (rs232) to connect to my inverter. Just need to make time to implement and test.

Re: SolarEdge in Latest Beta / Port Number
I'll ask him, but I'm afraid I'll have to explain what a screenshot is.
So version 2 is completely off the Internet?

You also could ask him to make a photo, or pay him a visit and help him a bit.
Yes I think, do not use that myself yet. Mainly because it is not in the stable yet. For now my updates come from pvoutput
And I want to have more instant updates, hence the serial connection idea.

Re: SolarEdge in Latest Beta / Port Number
My installer made a call to Solaredge to get it explained how to get the API and key.

Re: SolarEdge in Latest Beta / Port Number
I've changed the server address of my SolarEdge SE7k to my Domoticz server. But nothing happens on Domoticz and the data isn't forwarded to the SE website anymore.
Also when I try to telnet to port 22222 on my server I get no response.. Domoticz V3.4978.

Re: SolarEdge in Latest Beta / Port Number
Sappien, the latest (stable v.4843) software version contain the option to get Solaredge from API web. SO you can getthe data from the Solaredge web API.
