subslave devices doesnt work

Post by timop »

Hi

I have v.2.3530 installed on top of raspbian. I cannot get sub slave device work in switches. I have rfxtrx433e with nexa switches and receivers. added new switch to allready configured lamp.
I also tested with dummy switches.
so when pressing switch it just turns on light in domoticz but not a real lamp.
I made it like it is write in manual http://www.domoticz.com/DomoticzManual.pdf
what to do ? I dont like to install betas but if it helps maybe I have to install then..

I have also notice this problem, I'm running the current stable release (3.5877).

I have two switches that control two energenie 13A sockets via my rfxcom rfxtrx433e. I have bash scripts which turned them both on or off at the same time (via json commands), the scripts are actions from a third (dummy) switch. When playing around I ditched the scripts and made the two sockets slaves of the dummy switch. When testing it everything looked good from the GUI, turning the dummy switch on turned the sockets on in the GUI. However no RF was transmitted so the sockets didn't switch. It's odd because turning the sockets on and off directly in the GUI transmits the RF and the GUI status changes.

Anyway, I've reverted back to my bash script. If you are only controlling one socket from the dummy you can just put the json command straight into the on/off action, I've only got a bash script because it is triggering two devices.

What I'm learning with Domoticz is there are many ways to achieve the same goal, sometimes the advantages/disadvantages between the methods are very subtle but this issue does appear to be a bug (but it's very possible I've made a mistake).
