Protect turning off

Post by Varazir »

I wish I could protect some of me devices to be turned off by mistake like my computer. Don't want the protection when turning them on.

If it's there already don't shout on me ;)

TIA
Daniel

Thats not possible, it work for both on/off
and how often do you turn on/off your computer by this switch ?
So whats the problem when it asks for the protection password (once) when you turn it on ?

I turn it off and on every day with a switch.
I have connected my computer/monitors/desk lamps etc to the same greenswitch so everything is turned off.

Same with my HTPC/TV/AVR/PS3, they are connected to a greenswitch too.

I don't want any of them to be turned off by misstanke.

A question, what happens if I add a protected device to a group?

Hi Varazir

Cant tell about group/scene with protected switch. However im monitoring on/off status like TV etc.

My TV switch is also protected (basicly it cant be turned on) so accidently turning on/off is disabled, but the on/off from the embedded ping monitor still tells its on or of.

I guess it is possible from within domoticz by group/scene to turn off/on. Perhaps try with json request from browser first.

Grtz,
Stephan
