Hi,
I've currently got a few wired floodlights with integrated PIRs dotted around my driveway/garden. I'd like to get to the situation whereby these are integrated into Domoticz (via RFXtrx433E) so that I can trigger these using door sensors and standalone wireless PIRs and getting associated alert emails/iPhone push.
I've started doing some testing by installing LightwaveRF door sensors on the external doors of the house, a customised LightwaveRF door sensor integrated into the garden gate and lights in the garden bar connected to an Energenie 4 way extension lead (ENER010). I've created a Domoticz event (aka 'blocky') so that if the kitchen patio door opens then the bar lights turn on for 1 minute and I get both an email and iPhone alert.
This all works great however there is between a 3 and 8 second delay between opening the door or gate and the lights coming on. For safety reasons this would be too slow if I was to rely upon this for also triggering the floodlights in the driveway/garden.
One thought I had was to use a separate floodlight and PIR and wire it (see attached) so that either the PIR or an RF relay can trigger the light (I've got a spare Home Easy HE203). This would mean that other sensors, i.e. the door sensors, could trigger the floodlight but there wouldn't be a delay from the wired PIR. However I don't think that I'll get the benefit of the wired PIR triggering other devices unless the RF relay can somehow sense that the PIR has triggered the floodlight.
I guess another idea would be to use an RF PIR (I've got a spare Home Easy HE403) and pair it directly to the floodlight's relay as well as setting it up in Domoticz. However I don't like the idea of having things talking directly bypassing Domoticz.
Any thoughts/ideas?
Regards,
Paul.

Re: Integrating Wired PIR & Floodlight Into Domoticz RFXtrx4
Hi,
So by way of an update (hopefully to solicit replies) I've got both the PIR and Domoticz (via RFXtrx433E) triggering the floodlight. However unfortunately, as I suspected, when the PIR triggers this is not fed back into Domoticz which I would like to happen so that I can use this PIR to trigger other devices. That being said, when the PIR triggers the LED on the Home Easy HE203 goes from on to off so it must sense that the PIR has closed the circuit (see below). Any ideas? Is there another relay which would feed this back into Domoticz? Thanks.
Thanks,
Paul.

The delay occurs because only one RF signal can be present, see also http://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic ... lay#p58849
If possible use an RF relay that is triggered directly by the motion sensor.
The motion sensor signal is also received in Domoticz and you are able to control the RF relay in Domoticz.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Can you recommend an RF relay which will accomplish this? Thanks.
