Razberry setup with Domoticz issue

Post by fatlab »

Hi,

I have just installed a razberry z-wave unit in an existing Ras-Pi Domotics install and while the z-wave interface is working and I can add devices they are not showing up in Domoticz. Ive added the hardware via a 127.0.0.1 address and port 8083 but there is a repeating message in the log file showing,
Error: Sat Oct 19 19:22:53 2013 Razberry: Invalid data received!
Ive rebooted the unit but it has made no difference. Unfortunately I cant work out how to identify the source of the problem hence the request for assistance.

Regards

Dave

Hello Dave,

Could you verify something, are you able to get a result from:
http://RAZBERRYIP:8083/ZWaveAPI/Data/0

It should give some json output...

You also should not protect the z-way website with a username/password

With kind regards,
Rob

Rob,

That command generates a fully formed structured output which has a a good few hundred lines, the last detail line being updateTime plus a number and the last line being a closed brace.

The Domoticz config is out of the box from the downloadable SD image and only has the weather underground virtual devices created. I have not set any passwords or security.

Regards

Could you give me access to port 8083 of the z-way? I can then have a look.
(info @ domoticz. com)

It might also be worth setting the release channel in the settings to beta, and download/try the latest beta

With kind regards,
Rob

Ive also downgraded the z-way software back to 1.3.1 but it appears to make no difference.

Turned out the IP address was incorrectly setup in domoticz.

Maybe it's that you shouldn't use 127.0.0.1 but the network ip adres e.g. 192.168.1.2 and the correct port number (default is 8083).

Hello Rob,

Thank you for your answer.
When adding Hardware in Domoticz I use:
Razberry Z-Wave via LAN interface (HTTP)
Ip adres from the Razberry (eg. 192.168.1.60) and port number 8083
This doesn't work.

If both are running on the same raspberry please try 127.0.0.1 on port 8083
Nothing wrong shows in the log?

Hi Guys,

I have the same problem here, and I don't have a clue where to start.

I'm using an Synology DS713+ on which Domoticz is installed.
Furthermore I have a raspberry Pi with the default sd card installation of Domoticz with an added ZWave module.
The Pi is most of all meant to sent and receive the commands for the ZWave products.
I want the NAS to be the server since it is alwways online. More Pi's shall be added at a later moment.

I have added the Pi to the domoticz configuration with the following settings:

Razberry Z-Wave via LAN interface (HTTP) 192.168.2.2000 (8080)
Timeout: 1 minute

(I also tried the ip settings: 127.0.0.1 but that did not worked either.)

Pls could someone help me with some advice and thanks in advance.

Don't know if anyone might have some help from my problem with pi+razberry...

My Zwave behaved very strange in Domotics. I had used the software dovnloaded from Razberrys homepage before I installed Domoticz. When I removed that it solved my problems :)
