Aeotec Z-Stick S2 - Gen5 compatibillity

Post by Egregius »

Hi all,

maybe a stupid question, but to be sure.

I have a Aeotec Z-Stick S2 zwave stick.
Can this one be used for Gen5 / Zwave plus devices?

I'd like to replace my kaku doorbell with a Zwave device like http://aeotec.com/z-wave-doorbell

Unless you have better suggestions for a doorbell...

I'm not sure it is so clear cut.

I have a Z-Stick 2 and added some new sensors to it and they work okay.

You just have to roll the dice and try it out

I was sure that ZWave Plus has backward compatibility, but reading this post I wonder if new ZWave+ devices are compatible with the old Aeon Stick..... :?: :?: :?:
