X10 / Marmitek dimmers

Post by sjeuf12 »

Hi,
does anyone have any experience with X10 / Marmitek dimmers and blinds?
Have a bunch of those I would like to integrate in Domoticz and learned from the forum that dimmers and such are still under development.

X10 switches work just fine with TM13 or CM15

thx, br
Ser

Dimmers can't be controlled with the rfxcom. Search the forum and you should find any topic about that.

The problem is that the x10 dimmer need a constant push on a lower button to dim the light.
I guess the blinds are working the same as the dimmers.

Most of the X10 dimmable devices do support a direct dim setting. So there's a possibility (through mochad) to dim directly to a set value. Currently this hasn't been implemented in the Domoticz mochad support.

Hello,
I have a CM15 X10 interface and can dim/brighten lights on the command line with mochad, but the slides on the Domoticz / Domoticz light controls for dimmers and blind controls can not be moved. Am I doing something wrong or is not possible to dim lights with my setup?

Thanks
Pete

Dim is not supported on the hardware interface for CM15/C19 Mochad LAN interface in Domoticz at this time. Only on/off.
I am actually interested in getting this working myself and are looking into this. I have been able to create a good interface to setup the devices for switches and different security devices supported by Mochad ( similar way as "dummy" hardware handles that.) That is working now with changes on multiple places and it also shows the status for on/off if switched by other CM1x or RF controller. The dimmer is now my next challenge..
You could create a script (there are multiple places where that is explained) , but they are a one way ( domoticz - CM1X). They do not register if the state of dimmer has changed in another way ( e.g. remote RF )
