Zwave/Zwave Plus combined?

Hi, I'm having a Zwave Plus USB stick (Zwave.Me) with a regular (non Plus) Zwave PIR-sensor.
To improve the range of the battery powered PIR I was thinking to add a Fibaro 2 ZwavePlus dimmer to the network. So the dimmer should relay the signals of the PIR.

Question is: does that actually works like that, or would I end up with 2 separate (Zwave and ZwavePlus) networks?

you need 1 controller (usb stick)

powered nodes will relay other nodes
