Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor
What I don't understand is what's the importance of the number?
If it reports a temperature then the chance is quite high that it is the temperature sensor if you ask me.
The other values are also quite clear, if you are not sure then you can test it, if you move the sensor or wave your hand in front of it you see quite easily the change of the value in Domoticz....

Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor
Agree and other discussion is probably best put on the openzwave forum. The devices are not defined by Domoticz as far as I know
Synology NAS, slave PI3, ZWave (Fibaro), Xiaomi zigbee devices, BTLE plant sensor, DzVents, Dashticz on tablet, Logitech Media Server

Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor
Here is some direct information from my system about one of my two sensors:
The Node ID is 002 (0x02). This is visible in the "Setup / Hardware / OpenZWave USB / Nodes-list" menu item. Also visible there is the identifier "FIBARO System FGMS001 Motion Sensor". If I click on this device entry line and scroll downward, I see a configuration page in which the many parameters can be adjusted. I repeat my warning that it can take time for the device to "wake up" and accept new configuration commands. If your device does not identify itself (after a delay, or even after opening it up and attacking the internal switch), then there may be an issue with your "OpenZWave" installation - the configuration information and device names are defined in that directory as XML files.
Now look on the "Setup / Devices" menu item. I see a list of devices. I sort by the "ID" column, and I see the following entries in the list, but not placed on successive lines. For each line there is an icon of a "page" to the right - click on that to see a plot of the item's measurement history.
idx Hardware ID Unit Name Type Sub-Type
12 Aeon Labs USB V2.0 0000200 1 Landing Motion Sensor Lighting 2 ZWave Off (This is the PIR sensor - history shows on-off motion events)
17 Aeon Labs USB V2.0 0201 1 Landing Temperature Temp TFA 30.3133 22.3 C (Tthis is the thermometer - history shows a log of recent temperature)
22 Aeon Labs USB V2.0 0000203 255 Landing LUX Lux Lux 93 Lux (This is the light meter)
16 Aeon Labs USB V2.0 0000228 1 General Lighting 2 ZWave Off (This is EITHER the tamper sensor OR the vibration sensor depending on configuration)
In my experience, some temperature sensors in some devices may in fact take up "different" ID numbers - different from the "parent" number. This has been reported in the comments already.
I hope that this will clear the confusion.
Is there any other information which you need to configure the device?
Good luck!

Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor

your information are very valuable for me and I thank you very much!
Now I'm going out of home and I don't know when I'll have time for Domoticz, so I'll be back on this topic when possible.
Thanks again, Claudio

Mine are the same like dre68, only for the ID all "5" are "4", so also different ID numbers.

Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor

Than I tried to include in the dashboard few devices lighting up yellow stars as shown here

but my dashboard does not show any device.
Where did I go wrong?

Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor
Another topic, think you should change the PIR to "motion sensor" in the EDIT page.. you have it now as ON/OFF
The stars should indicate that the item is included in the Dashboard, try F5...

Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor
On/off is ok. Do you have rooms defined? Try to set dashboard to all rooms

I did not know of having to define rooms and I do not know to do it?pvm wrote:On/off is ok. Do you have rooms defined? Try to set dashboard to all rooms
Can you suggest a guide for this?

Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor
Do you see a room selection drop down box in the top right? Then set it to all.
When not, the issue is caused by something else.
Rooms can be defined in setup, more options, plans

Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor
Thanks pvm
After few days of holidays i.m again playing with my Zwave device and Domoticz.
I have excluded all devices and included again only the Fibaro Motion Sensor and now I have this situation
Apparently the Sensor is not working: it does not register temperature and lighting and devices 0000800 and 000828 are reported Off.
What is happening? How can force my sensor to operate?

Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor
Anybody familiar with a razberry setup. When settings of the sensor ate not changed, I would expect this to work

I don't understand what you have written, maybe because I'm not an expert. Can you explain more accurately your thoughts?pvm wrote:Anybody familiar with a razberry setup. When settings of the sensor ate not changed, I would expect this to work

Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor
I am not experienced in using RaZberry, i use the aeon stick. In your screenshot i see you use RaZberry. And the other thing is changing settings of the motion sensor, i already asked before and you said you did not change these.

Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor
I don't think that the behaviour of my motion sensor depend on the hardware used to dialogue with it, but on Domoticz itself. So, if I am right, if you know a procedure to force my sensor to operate, please write it down and I will try it:)pvm wrote:I am not experienced in using RaZberry, i use the aeon stick. Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor

What I did?
- I powered my RPI2 with RaZberry module
- I opened the device tab on Domoticz and it showed same information as in the yesterday image
- I pushed 3 times speedily the botton B on the sensor (the light on it became steady blue)
- I pushed again bottom B and the sensor stopped to light blue
- I refreshed the device tab on Domoticz and it showed the new information of the above image
I don't know if the right behavior of my sensor is due to what I did and I reported my actions to ask to experts their comments.

Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor
Still working? I managed to add the 4 sensors to domoticz, but the Lux and Temp sensor don't seem to update. The motion and tamper seem to work just fine. Can't figure out why.

Re: OpenZwave & Fibaro Motion Sensor
Did you:
-wait for 24 hours
-make big changes in light and temperature (it can be set to only report big changes,)
-check the device settings?
