I think I have a bug too with Pilot.

Most of the time the geofancing works fine, but for some strange reason he thinks that I'm nearby my house while entering the city-center. That is roughly 3 kilometers away!

Try making sure your wifi is switched on.. See if that eliminates this..

Strange! That was the solution... Is it a known bug?

I had the same issue when the app was first released and realised then that if the wifi was left on then it was more accurate. So when Apple says that having wifi on is more accurate it's not lying lol. The developer and I realised its a bug on apples side and nothing can be done to get around it other than leave wifi on. I'd like iBeacon integration so that way we wouldn't have this problem...

Quite logical. Without wifi the phone depends on cellular antenna and gps for localization. If you're inside a building you'll get a very big radius because of poor or non existing gps signal. On all iphone map programs, the precision is indicated by the blue circle.

GPS is turned on and it even happens when I'm outside with full sight on the sky...

I have to issues with Pilot

1) When a try to use the slide bar to dimmer my lamp after releasing the button it always returns to a value < 10%
Dimming from the Domoticz web interface everything works fine and the status in Pilot is updated after a "pull to refresh".

2) The about option show V1.3.0 installed but in the AppleStore say the version is V1.3.1. I´m doing something wrong?

I'm New to domoticz and currently i'm still building my platform, but i took a look to this app and seems to be very good and probably will be the standard client for ios if you will continue to support it. I think a in-app notification client could be usefull instead to keep using prowl... Any chance?

Hi,

I am having a problem with Pilot crashing after in the app purchase in my iPhone 6, IOS 8.4. Every time I try to access the unlock feature or click the pad lock the app exit to IOS. I have Pilot working on my iPad and iPhone 4S so I guess it is not my account or other setting beyond unlocking all features.

Help help you could give getting it working on my iPhone 6 would be appreciated.

Still waiting for developer response...
At the moment we paid for the APPS the developer must has to response the inquiries of the people using his application so we can know what to expect or in other case refund money if his commitment is the same as the free option.
I know the expectations in the free option are different, and in that case I assume it, but not for a pay application.
In apple store he sell de app so is not a donation for his effort.

I have the same issues, dimmers not working at all, or impossible to select the slider without swithing on or off.
I was also hoping that in new releases support the interface would auto refresh, have "last update since" labels for sensors and support for Hue lamps.

Unfortunately it seems that the developer have stopped to reply to questions or forum posts and does not have published any App updates in months.

Pilot 1.5.0 (end of November) is also on the way and will let you :
* send push notifications from your Domoticz server to Pilot app!
* Control your thermostat!
* Support for 3DTouch on the iPhone 6S

It's been a while since the last update, I will make it up for the wait though!

PS: if you are running into crashing issues after buying the app, please contact me! I am still trying to figure out how to solve this bug, I need as much feedback as possible!

What I do notices that I left home while making a phone call, during this call there as no data connection and thus my “Phone@home” switch in Domoticz was not set. Can you APP be improved that at certain intervals it still checks if the phone status in Domoticz is set correctly. And it there is a mismatch it will correct the status. Because then will finishing the call it will still update the Phone@home status within Domoticz. THis would make the deployment more robust.

If this is a good idea/suggestion can you add this to the feature list?

As far as I can understand, you're home and you get a phonecall --> since signal drops when you're on the phone, it triggers the "left home" event, is that it?

To be honest I never bothered trying to improve the location accuracy because your iPhone is supposed to do it all by itself + it could kill battery life doing too much location stuff in the background...

No that is not exactly what I mean. When I'm having a phone call and I leave home, Pilot detects that I'm leaving home and tries to update Domoticz. As I'm on a phone call there is no data connection, in other words Pilot cannot set the Phone@Home status in Domoticz. This is a pity as I'm having some scripts running to disable lights etc when I'm leaving home (while making a phone call), these lights are now on for longer then necessary.

It would be grate if Pilot tries it a couple of times (configurable) to update the status in Domiticz after it failed to update. This will make the user scenarios more robust.

Secondly it would be great if a certain intervals (configurable) Pilot checks if the status according to Pilot is the same as in Domoticz. I assume that Pilot checks the location regularly to verify if it is already within the at home range. When the check is done it would be good to verify if that location status is also set (the same) in Domoticz.

Both items are closely linked to each other and maybe can be the same solution/implementation. My view would be that this would make the total system more robust and my lights would not stay on the for the rest of the day until I'm at home again.
