Hmmmm updated to the last version (2.2259) seems to have fixed the problem, now been rocksolid for two days!

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Hello
I tried so many things, but somehow I can't get the Harmony Activities to show up in the Devices tab in Domoticz, running on Windows 7 64 bit. I have a Logitech Harmony Ultimate remote with the hub.
The hub is connecting fine as I can see it in the Domoticz log, it even detects when I change an activity with the Harmony Ultimate remote, but I simply can't see any of the activities in Domoticz such as Watch TV etc. or any of the devices used in the Harmony activities:
It has no issue authenticating & logging into the Logitech service (can see it in the log)
I made sure that in settings it is accepting new hardware when I added the hub.
Have also rebooted the Harmony hub, and reset it, re-paired it etc.
Also downgraded Domoticz to 4 previous versions but always the same. Currently running the most up to date version v2.2284
Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
I get this error constantly on a Raspberry Pi B+, quite confusing since it worked perfectly for weeks... Is anyone aware of logging being generated and at what location? A reboot of the Raspberry Pi seems to solve it, just like updating domoticz. A restart of domoticz.sh service doesn't always resolve the issue if I'm not mistaken.tahoe wrote:Thanx for the great work on this functionality, but it is giving me some issues (mentioned before)
Running on my raspberri pi 2 B+ I get this message every +- 3 minutes:
Tue Feb 10 21:06:30 2015 Error: Harmony Touch Ultimate hardware (2) thread seems to have ended unexpectedly
Tue Feb 10 21:06:51 2015 Harmony Hub: Too many commands missed. Resetting connection.
Tue Feb 10 21:06:52 2015 Harmony Hub: Authentication succesfull
This doesn't sound right to me...
Before running on the Pi I had a domoticz instance running on a VMWare virtual machine with ubuntu server, (intel x86) and never saw this log message on the system, only on the Pi (2).
Any ideas? Running the latest beta (last stable gave the same error)
On my Harmony Hub I do notice the light illuminating in red at times, but usually when I notice it I also see it switching back to green within minutes. Since I don't believe the HarmonyHubControl library communicates directly with the hub, I don't think this is related.
[edit] Now running latest beta, V2.2292.

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
This weekend I hope to receive my Harmony Ultimate + hub. I am keen on replacing my Harmony One and integrating the Ultimate in my setup (KaKu, Lightmanager Pro + Bridge, Philips Hue bulbs, and... Domoticz running on a Synology DS214+)
Suggestions and advise on how to approch this upgrade are welcome
- update Harmony / hub firmware?
- order of connecting and pairing?
- does & don't's
Thanks !

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Had my Harmony hub working with Domoticz for weeks. After a power failure, I had to restart my system. Now, the hun no longer works.
I removed the hardware, reinstalled the hub in domotiz, it registers the hardware correctly and the log shows that authentication is successful... but no activities show up.... bummer! I also power toggled the hub. Didn't help
Anybody have a suggestion?

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Hello everyone,
I've a Harmony Hub and I got error sometimes in the log of domoticz (Error: Harmony hardware (6) thread seems to have ended unexpectedly)
I don't know why but always resolved when do a restart of service. My question is : Is it possible to do a LUA script or bash script to detect if this error is present and if yes do a restart of service domoticz ?
Thanks in advance

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Hi All,
I am just wondering about the 'Hub is changing activity error'...
I am using the native support on a Pi and the activities show up, and correctly show the state as set via the Harmony remote. However, I can only change activity from Domoticz once, after which any further attempts to change activity result in a 'Hub is changing activity' error in the log. Only a reboot of the Pi/Domoticz resolves this (allowing me to change activity only once more again).
Any ideas what might be wrong?
Whilst I can't get this working properly, I am going to try using both the native support (for detecting activity state) and the old method (for control/changing activities), unless anyone tells me that won't work or is a bad idea?
Thanks,

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
After a fresh install of Domoticz v2.2383 on my Synology DS214+ I no longer can control the hub. Oddly enough, the Domoticz log shows the activities I executed with the Harmony remote - showing in the log the hub authentication happenned successfully - but the activities do not show up in Domoticz.
I have reset my hub, reloaded a Domoticz database, but no luck so far. .
Anyone a clue how to get this working again?
UPDATE:
After the last update (v2.2533 running on a Synology DS214+) all is working again. Activities show up and can be implemented as switch.

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
how is the latest support for Harmony with Domoticz on RPI2?
Have a z-wave wall plug which i need to enable by domoticz before the Ultimate can start powering up the TV/XBMC/etc etc
got the Harmony activities correctly into the Domoticz Devices and created switches for it. Is there a special setting needed for the switches?
On the Hub i have given all devices a 30 second delay before power on.
Set up a Event in Blocky to turn on a group of wallplugs. But the Domoticz log says:
2015-06-09 19:51:08.371 Harmony Hub: Software version: 4.5.66
2015-06-09 19:51:08.372 Harmony Hub: Changing activity
................
2015-06-09 19:52:17.152 Harmony Hub: Finished changing activity
2015-06-09 19:52:17.153 (Harmony) Lighting 2 (Harmony PowerOff)
2015-06-09 19:52:17.198 EventSystem: Event triggered: Harmony_FILM_AAN_1
2015-06-09 19:52:17.175 (Harmony) Lighting 2 (Harmony Film kijken)
Seems weird
on 19:51 i started the activity but on on 19:52 the EventSystem notices a trigger? I assumed the moment i hit the button on the remote it would trigger the event and not until the Activity fully started?
And can anyone confirm this blocky code is correct:
as the event trigger (although way to late to be usefull) nothing happens. Is the = ON correct?
Also tried not starting a scene but just sent a simple push message using Prowl but nothing.
Right now i'm kinda stuck and not sure if it's just broken or i'm doing something wrong!

To verify, I tried the same as you: to let a Harmony Hub activity "On" switch on a light.
It doesn't work for me either.

I am running 2.2790 and just discoverd that I sometimes lose Contact with my HarmonyHub;
The logs says: Error: HamonyHub hardware (8) thread seems to have ended unexpectedly and there no Connection between domo and my hub.
I think a restart of domo and the hub is needed to get them back in working order, seems that a restart of the hub won't do it
Running the Harmony Hub hardware, Maybe turning on the no data, then restart alternativ can make a diffrence?

With Harmony enabled it works fine for a short while but after switching activities 2 or 3 times, Domoticz gets unresponsive for about 10 seconds and I get:
After after this reset it works again for 1 or 2 commands and then this repeats.

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Is anybody maintaining the Harmony hub code? As clear form the above multiple people are experiencing issues involving the " thread seems to have ended unexpectedly" error. Would be great if we would get working more stable
If this is not done, would it be usefull for me to to use HarmonyHubControl, or is that using the same code-base? (seems not have been updated since september 2014). Also I see that HarmonyHubControl requires polling of the Harmony hub with cronjobs to update the status in Domoticz which I think is not a really good solution.

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Hello
I just installed my HarmonyHub + smart control as described in the wiki and it worked fine. I have sometimes the thread error in the log, but it doesn't prevent it to work.
One thing that I noticed is that each time you add a new activity, you must go to Hardware again, select your HarmonyHub hardware and click on "Update". This will trigger an update of all activities.
I was able to trigger events (via Lua script). One thing I really wanted is that when I click on the TV button on my harmony smart control (triggering "Watching TV" activity), my Home theater power outlet switches on (I use a Fibaro wall plug on which all my home theater devices are connected). The problem is that the process where the Harmony activity change signal is received by Domoticz is usually longer than the activity change done by the hub. Consequence is that power outlet is correctly on, but my devices couldn't be powered on by the hub (IR signal already sent), so I had to click on the TV activity button again on the remote control.
I also tried to re-trigger the activity from Lua, but Domoticz prevents us to do that (to avoid infinite recursion), and it is anyway not possible to change for an activity that is already activated.
The solution I found is to create a "dummy" activity as a temporary change. Basically, when switching to an activity not being the dummy one, the script changes again to the dummy one, activates the power outlet, and then changes back to the requested activity.
This works fine and you can find the script on my Github repository: https://github.com/lolautruche/Domoticz ... onyHub.lua

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Just a wordpress of the fun I have had setting Domoticz with LIRC on an RPi with two harmony hubs, so you can control the 2nd hub from the remote of the first, and even went a little further with joint activities, i.e getting two squeezeboxes to power on / sync then play with at a preset volume on two yamaha receivers. Cool stuff I think

Hi All,
When I try to add my Harmony just like in the wiki, I don't see any fields to add a username and password.
I had this problem on the stable version 3.5837, but also on the latest beta version.
Does anyone else experience the same problem?
Kind regards,
Duan

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Build Domoticz V3.6343 "Beta channel" updated today and I have the same problem where trying to remove the Harmony Hub and re-adding did not show credentials when adding the hardware. I can no longer switch switch the TV off. Probably worth noting that the Harmony Hub is running 4.12.36. There was a firmware update to the hub a few weeks ago which seemed to cause this functionality to break. On another note my Amazon echo works to control it.
