domoticz in synology as package! Available now.

I installed (and updated to 2246) Domoticz at my Synology NAS (214play).

It won't work to let de NAS see my RFX module (USB) and P1 cable (USB). What do I have to do to let de NAS 'see' the serial cables?

I had trouble with Domoticz on my Rpi so I want to test Domoticz at my NAS.

I saw someone (do not remember who) who failed to use his RFXTRX433E once upgrading his Syno to 5.1.xx

The problem was due to thé USB drivers.

On mine (see my signature) domoticz works with a Nrfxtrx433E

I have just updated my DSM to 5.1.5022 Update 2.
Your installation of USB driver does not work.
As it was asked to uninstall previous drivers... I do not have drivers aymore.

On my side, I have no USB Driver, no Domoticz and no Apache anymore

Strange.. I am running DSM-5.1-5022 Update 2 on DS-712+ fine with the updated driver.

I suggest you first uninstall UsbSerialdrivers manually with telnet i you know how to do that.
And manually install http://jadahl.dscloud.me/sspks/packages ... _3.0.2.spk don´t add http://jadahl.dscloud.me/sspks/ in Package Center source.
If you have another Package source in Package Center Source with older UsbSerialDrivers_3.0.2.spk (not modified version) you maybe got wrong version installed.

I have also been working on this in the SynoCommunity, and have got Domoticz compiling with OpenZWave support as well as enabling the USB drivers as part of the package daemon, but I am having one last problem where the OpenZWave driver fails.

I'm testing with your drivers in the case that they are the last part of the recipe (which I do hope they are), but if they are I'd really like to have the relevant drivers baked directly into the final SPK so it's a one-click install experience for everyone.

It is lebovitz who has made this source, so you have to ask him for the source.
I have only done some small modification i the spk package.

Thanks for your response. I actually succeed finally, and the USB drivers package did solve the issue, as it was the cp210x.ko mod that was the missing piece of the puzzle. I suspect that the native usbserial.ko and ftdi_sio.ko mods may be fine, but I'll confirm this soon.

I will definitely be chasing lebovitz down, as if I can get the missing driver backed into my SPK which is cross-compilable as per SynoCommunity guidelines, then we should have a nice easy one-click install solution for all.

But I can currently confirm that I have OpenZWave USB support without any compilation on the Syno required.

I'm just in the process of finalising the package, it tuns out the the SynoCommunity spksrc has the ability to cross compile kernel modules, so once I've got that sorted out I'll be able to put a PR in for an update to the Domoticz package which will be fully contained.

So last night at about midnight I put the PR in, I know have a fully cross-compilable package that contains Domoticz with OpenZWave support including the required USB Drivers without the need of any additional SPKs or messing around to install.

I've built a Qoriq-5.1 SPK and am just finishing up a Armada370-5.1 SPK, both of which are (will be) linked at the Github issue: https://github.com/SynoCommunity/spksrc/issues/1478

If anyone has requests for a specific architecture let me know, including the syno version (4.3, 5.0, 5.1, etc) and I'll do my best. Compiling for an architecture I don't have the toolchain for does take a few hours as compiling the USB driver requires a 1.2 GB download.

In return, feedback would be appreciated.
