Log entry twice every 15 minutes: "Status: EventSystem: reset all device statuses..." Topic is solved

My Domoticz log is flooded with the lines below, every 15 minutes two status lines are created which say that all device statuses are reset:

I think this has been going on for months already.
Is this normal behavior?
If no, what could be the cause?

This is not normal, it normally happens only 1 time a day at Midnight.
Check your dzvents scripts if something is triggered every 15 minutes.

Thanks @waltervl! I thought I did not have a script starting every 15 minutes, but after a better search, I found there is one, and indeed this script is causing the issues.
Now trying to solve the puzzle with some help from Gemini...

Found the culprit!
The command

Code: Select all

dz.devices(wl_rain_idx).setIcon(iconNumber)

was causing Domoticz to reset all device statuses. More details in the topic about the script "Weerlive": viewtopic.php?p=336181#p336181

Thanks for tracking this down. setIcon (like a rename or saving the device edit dialog) made Domoticz reload the state of every device for the event system, which logged "reset all device statuses" each time. It now reloads only the device that changed, so a script calling setIcon no longer triggers this. The fix will be in the next beta.

Thanks. That is good news. I usually do not install beta's, so I will look forward to this fix in the next non-beta release.

So, the beta contains fixes/security updates and stability fixes.
I guess upgrading to it would be benifitial.
