DSVT (Dual Smart Virtual Thermostat) – Multi-Zone Heating, Cooling and DHW Plugin for Domoticz

Hi,

It is not a simple thermostat plugin. The goal is to coordinate the complete HVAC system within Domoticz.

Main features include:

- Up to 12 independent heating/cooling zones
- Multiple heat sources, for example heat pump + gas boiler
- Domestic hot water control
- Electric immersion heater support
- Scheduled DHW thermal disinfection
- Buffer tank handling
- Two independent mixing valves
- TRV control
- Door and window detection per zone
- Presence-based comfort / energy-saving operation
- Outdoor-temperature-dependent heating target temperature
- Outdoor-temperature-dependent DHW target temperature
- Weather forecast based look-ahead control
- Dew point protection for surface cooling
- Automatic health-related cooling temperature limit
- Integration of conventional split air conditioners using IR control
- Energy consumption and photovoltaic production monitoring
- Multi-language support
- Dedicated HTML administration interface
- Graphical log of the previous 24 hours for system tuning and diagnostics

The plugin automatically creates many of the required Domoticz devices and controls, so the user does not need to build the entire automation logic manually.

The more complex parameters are configured through a separate HTML administration interface instead of using a very large number of standard Domoticz hardware parameters.

The system is already in regular use in a real installation and is not considered a beta version.

However, it has so far been developed and tested mainly with Domoticz on OpenWrt, so I would now like to test compatibility with a wider range of environments and HVAC configurations.

Minimum supported Domoticz version:

Domoticz 2023.2

I would especially like to test it on:

- Other Linux distributions
- Different Domoticz versions
- Heat pump only systems
- Boiler only systems
- Hybrid heat pump + boiler systems
- Different TRVs and temperature sensors
- Underfloor heating systems
- Radiator systems
- Surface cooling systems
- Systems outside Hungary
- Different Domoticz interface languages

The project currently supports:

Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.

Installation:

cd /etc/domoticz/plugins

The HTML administration interface is an important part of the plugin and the files from the viewer directory must also be copied to the Domoticz templates directory:

cp -r /etc/domoticz/plugins/DSVT_HMV_ZONE_12/viewer/* /usr/share/domoticz/www/templates/

Then restart Domoticz.

On OpenWrt:

/etc/init.d/domoticz restart

The documentation is currently mainly in Hungarian, but the plugin and administration interface already support multiple languages.

At this stage I am mainly interested in finding:

- Platform-specific issues
- Compatibility problems with different Domoticz installations
- Assumptions that may only work in my own environment
- Problems with different heating/cooling configurations
- Translation issues
- Unexpected behaviour with different sensors and devices

When reporting a problem, please include:

- Domoticz version
- Operating system / distribution
- Heating and cooling system type
- Heat sources used
- Relevant Domoticz log messages
- DSVT configuration related to the problem
