Version: 2026.2 (build 18142)
Platform: Bookworm 64-bit on Raspberry Pi 4B
Plugin/Hardware: Alexa Smart Home Integration
Description:
I’m following this guide: https://wiki.domoticz.com/Alexa_Smart_Home_Integration, but I’m stuck at the account-linking step. I keep getting this error: "Not possible to link your account with Alexa."
I already have Let’s Encrypt SSL set up and everything. The Alhau skill worked fine, but I’d really like to have my own Alexa skill.
I’m a bit lost because I’m not sure how to check or troubleshoot the logs in AWS.
Could someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

Ey, reading this from Amazon:
https://developer.amazon.com/docs/alexa ... other.html
To implement account linking for smart home add-ons, you must have the following prerequisites:
Your system must support OAuth 2.0 and the authorization code grant type.
If you don't have your own authorization server, you can use Login with Amazon (LWA) or any OAuth 2.0 provider that has a certificate signed by an Amazon-approved certificate authority. Note that you cannot use https://letsencrypt.org/, even though it's on the certificate list.
it seems that Let'sencrypt certificates are not valid??

Re: Alexa Smart Home Integration - Not linking
It says that, but I've only ever used LetsEncrypt certs and they work fine. Are you sure your server is accessible from the outside world on the URL you provided?
Re: Alexa Smart Home Integration - Not linking
Make sure your Lambda function is in the same region as your primary Alexa account. Otherwise the sanity check on creating the Skill will succeed, but it won't actually be able to talk to your Lambda function. I raised this with the Alexa team, they said that was a perfectly normal user experience and wasn't completely stupidly broken at all.
Then look at the logs of your Lambda function's invocations. *Is* it being invoked at all? Does it manage to reach your server?

Re: Alexa Smart Home Integration - Not linking
Solved!
My Domoticz setup wasn’t exposed on port 443. I had it running on a different port, even though it was using SSL with a Let’s Encrypt certificate.
Looks like Alexa Skills don’t like that.
Anyway, I'm investigating how to use "matterbridge" to expose domoticz devices to Alexa.
I run actions to domoticz devices throw web API calls and now I'm trying to "sync" device status with MQTT
I'm trying to setup "Data Push > MQTT" to mosquitto server and configure MatterBridge to read from this MQTT... but I got this message in MatterBridge:
[MatterBridge MQTT plugin] "Recevied MQTT message on topic 'domoticz/95/state' that does not match expected format. Ignoring
keep trying (and learning)

Re: Alexa Smart Home Integration - Not linking
Hm, mine isn't on port 443 either. Doesn't it get the server URL out of the JWT? What port does your Domoticz server *think* it's running on?
