Broken, as in what? You cannot select a P1 meter anymore? Do you have Domoticz devices that log the usage and return of the grid?
It seems you have only 1 kWh or P1 meter device in your Domnoticz (SolarTotalPower)

So you think I'm an idiot—if everything was working perfectly before the update, and I could select a device in P1/Grid, but after the update the devices disappeared, then of course it's my fault.

No, I dont think you are an idiot, from your short remark I could not make up what was the real problem.
So you have a P1 grid device but you cannot select it anymore. What is the device type of that device? The type is shown in the device list (menu setup- devices) or it is seen in the device widget when you have default theme. Is it P1 Smart meter or General kWh or something else (and what is it then)?

No need to get rude, Waltervl is just asking for some data. As many others, including myself, updated successfully with still functioning Energy Dashboard, you just might consider whether your situation is somehow related to your particular setup. Therefore, more data might help. Remember: this is a user forum.

Thank you!
I used the devices marked in green to get the same result as with the red ones. The devices are still there and working properly. But I can no longer select them from the menu.

Probably the Usage Electric devices are not supported anymore in the dashboard. They are also not so usefull. Better change them into General kwh devices. https://wiki.domoticz.com/Dummy_for_vir ... d_counter)
They can also calculate the energy (Wh) used or delivered when only Power (watt) values are available. They also give history and compare graphs.
And when you have the data it is perhaps even better to create a virtual P1 device as that gives even better insight in your grid power usage.

But the Electric Usage device is not really promoted to use because of its limitations, see the note on the wiki (already for years there): https://wiki.domoticz.com/Dummy_for_vir ... lectricity

I'll probably have to make a downgrade; I just don't understand why these little things bother anyone, or why we should make things worse when we could just leave them as they are. It makes absolutely no sense.

Probably there was a user having issues with these kind of Electric Usage devices. You better update the device to the proper type. It is also better for you. Some small changes in your scripts and you have it running again and then even better, You will thank me for that.

Updated to the new Domoticz version and no problems here. I did make a few tiny adjustments to the custom text rendering, the custom sensor text size and the positioning of the temperature icon. It looks awesome in Nightglas theme :D .

Energy Dashboard: Costs from/to Grid incorrect

The costs in all other bubbles are calculated are correct, but the left one for the grid shows a ridiculously high Euro value of 14.12 € in the morning.

Correct would be:

0.140 kWh x 0,3237 €
minus
0.050 kWh x 0.0761 €

= 0,041513 €

During the day, the value is constantly beeing reduced when the solar panels are feeding in power tongue grid. But that is not the purpose of this calculation and still shows a wrong figure of course.
At the afternoon and 28 kWh of return power to the grid, the 14 € are reduced by 10 € down to 4 €. (although 28 kWh X 0,0761 € would only be 2 € reduction) However, this not the wanted and expected behaviour.

It used to be displayed correctly, but for some time meanwhile it does not. I have neither changed the counter settings nor the script that creates the P1 meter. What could be be the reason?

What do you mean? I have decreased the file sizes maybe too much, so they are are little blurred, but visible enough - at least at my end.

Can't change it just now, so I am simply linking to Google fotos:

And so did I longtime - price of the grid bubble was calculated correctly. But suddenly not anymore. Alle other bubbles are still calculated correctly. Strange.

Next level of my debugging trials for the € calculation of the grid bubble:

I have set
Costs T1 = 0 €
Costs R1 = 0 €

This way, it really starts with (almost) Zero € in the morning as it actually should always be.

Then I have set
Costs T1 = 2 €
Costs R1 = 1 €

Now it started calculating the € value. The return kWh are correctly negative, but obviously not R1 is taken for calculation, but (wrong) T1 (13 kWh = 26 €, but it must be 13 €)

Could the calculation be wrong given that there is almost no grid consumption? Right now, thanks to the solar battery, I’m almost 100% self-sufficient and only have return.

Am I really the only one with this problem? Really strange ... Any help would highly appreciated.

Indeed, seems to be wrong. In the report page of the P1 device it is calculated correctly?

Edit:
In the source code https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/bl ... er.js#L808
I see the remark:

Code: Select all

  fHousePrice:
  (Grid used − Grid returned) × p1Price
  + Solar generated × solarPrice
+ Battery discharged × battEnergyOutPrice (if configured)
− Battery charged × battEnergyInPrice (if configured)
That should be something like

Code: Select all

  fHousePrice:
  (T1Grid used x T1p1pice) + (T2Grid used x T2p1pice) − (R1Grid returned x R1p1price) - (R2Grid returned x R2p1price)
  + Solar generated × solarPrice
+ Battery discharged × battEnergyOutPrice (if configured)
− Battery charged × battEnergyInPrice (if configured)

What you can do is to get the json of the P1 device as the flow is:
- GetInitialDevices() calls: json.htm?type=command&param=getdevices&rid=...
- For the P1 device (idx == idP1), RefreshItem() calls handlePower(item).
- handlePower() reads item.price and stores it in $scope.p1Price

So what gives field price in the json from API call (change DomoIP, Port and IDXP1 to real values)

Code: Select all

http://DomoIP:Port/json.htm?type=command&param=getdevices&rid=IDXP1
