Notification on sub-forum also if only another on has a new item

[imautohuttraeger]

I have subscribed to several sub-forums here and get an E-Mail, when a new topic or reply exists.

But I am also being notified for a specific sub-forum, if there are news in any other sub-forum. My guess is, this is because every starting page of every sub-forum contains the section "Recent Topics" with postings from each and every sub-forum. So for the notification logic there is a new item. But this is just a guess.

Please share your experience and thoughts.

Update: I was too silly and had not recognized, that these notifications where related to spam entries that had been (automatically?) deleted already.

However, there currently is a huge amount spam coming in.
