Re: Dynamic Dashboards and easier theming
Aligment of the widgets is still a problem, if i place a scene widget next to a device widget there is still an offset in high. Have the widgets the same dimensions? Using beta 17654. I can't attach pictures here?

Re: Dynamic Dashboards and easier theming
Two little findings:
Gauge
Value seems to be picked only once after adding the tile and freezes permanantely.
kWh Summary
Colour Import (amber) is the same as Solar (yellow). Generally, the option for a neutral colour would also be nice.

Yes of course, these are the normal device/scene widgets, I am talking about the other widgetsRik60 wrote: Tuesday 07 April 2026 9:31 Aligment of the widgets is still a problem, if i place a scene widget next to a device widget there is still an offset in high. @imautohuttraeger
Gauge
- Value seems to be picked only once after adding the tile and freezes permanently.
You mean it is not live updated... I checked again, and it updates correctly.
(Tested with the 3 voltage sensors from my smart meter updating every 10 seconds)
kWh Summary
- Colour Import (amber) is the same as Solar (yellow). Generally, the option for a neutral colour would also be nice.
This is on purpose, it is also used for the Sun and Battery widget and other places.
I renamed it to --dz-widget-amber

Re: Dynamic Dashboards and easier theming
Tested it with the meter for a small solar power plant and with the meter for the heat pump. Both a fed by Shelly 3EM devices. Value does not change.
But also a lamp sticking in a Tasmota smart plug is not giving the up-to-date value.

Re: Dynamic Dashboards and easier theming
I don't see why you should not be able to add images (but maybe for the better otherwise there will be lots of images/dashboards here and we could make a forum topic/thread about that)
Here you see my screenshot that updates every 10 seconds (poll interval of the P1 meter):
So the question is, why does it not work on your end?
You are using a normal browser? directly to Domoticz or via a proxy?
Likely causes:
1. Reverse proxy (nginx/Apache) not forwarding WebSocket upgrades — most common cause
2. Browser/network dropping WebSocket and reconnect not completing
3. Accessing via a URL/port that goes through a proxy without WebSocket support
They can verify by opening the browser DevTools → Network → WS tab and checking if a WebSocket connection to /json is established and receiving messages. If no WS connection is shown, it's a proxy/network issue — nothing wrong with the code.
Even if the websocket is not working, the gauge polls every 30 seconds, so at least something should update if values are moving

Re: Dynamic Dashboards and easier theming
Ok. In the old style (Favorites) dashboard the devices and scene (group) widgets seems to have the same dimensions. I was a bit surprised that in the dynamic dashboard the dimentions are different. That looks very bad when placed next to each other.gizmocuz wrote: Tuesday 07 April 2026 13:41Yes of course, these are the normal device/scene widgets, I am talking about the other widgetsRik60 wrote: Tuesday 07 April 2026 9:31 Aligment of the widgets is still a problem, if i place a scene widget next to a device widget there is still an offset in high. Re: Dynamic Dashboards and easier theming
@Rik60 mentioned the same issue at 9:31 today. The second tab "Attachments" where you can add images is simply not shown as it is normally in other threads. No big deal.
I am using Chrome and Firefox directly in my LAN without proxy on Laptop / Tablet / Smartphone. Will check the dev tool you mentioned tonight an will report.
Stop, look and listen.

Re: Dynamic Dashboards and easier theming
Got it! Gauge only works with numeric devices that deliver only one figure. I used type General / kWh (showing Watt and kWh) but it only works with usage / electric (showing just Watt).imautohuttraeger wrote: Tuesday 07 April 2026 17:44 Will check the dev tool you mentioned tonight an will report.
I either have to copy the Watt value via script to separate devices or maybe you can "force" the gauge to only focus on the main value of the device

Re: Dynamic Dashboards and easier theming
Got some new updates again in the current beta...
@Rik60, it was not possible to have scenes and devices side by side before....
I see what you mean, and noticed this a week ago, but that could not be fixed easily.
Will have a look at this again.
Maybe you could also have try at it?
@imautohuttraeger
You where looking at the kWh value, not the Watt value.
I just added a general/kWh device in a Gauge and noticed this (value displays 4321, but actual Watt is 94).
The kWh updates live.
I will rebuild this so it displays Watt, we already have a kWh Summary widget if you want to see the kWh value as well

Re: Dynamic Dashboards and easier theming
One more new beta version
@Rik60
- Now the scene/groups display correctly besides devices (in the device widgets and roomplan)
@imautohuttraeger
- Gauge now displays the Watt value for kWh sensors. And < 1000 and > 1000 Watt the value is rounded (1234.5 becomes 1235)

The next beta (>= 17668) involves also a Domoticz remote server/client change. If you are using this, you need to update both instances.

Minor: Left alignment of Energy Dashboard is a few pixels too far to the right

Re: Dynamic Dashboards and easier theming
Minor: Room Widget: Would be nice to open the log screens per device on click also in list layout (currently working only in standard layout).
By the way, please give feedback on whether posting bug reports and feature requests in this thread is helpful, or whether it's becoming too nitpicky.

Re: Dynamic Dashboards and easier theming
New beta (17678)
@imautohuttraeger
-Minor: Left alignment of Energy Dashboard is a few pixels too far to the right
This I do not understand... The contents of the Energy Dashboard widget is centered...
If you want you can create a GitHub issue with a screenshot where you mark where it is not connect
-Minor: Room Widget: Would be nice to open the log screens per device on click also in list layout (currently working only in standard layout).
Not quite minor, because I might also implement this for other widgets... I miss going quickly to the log for some devices as well.
For example the Gas/Water Summary also support this.
I implement clicking on the item icon to go to the log (also for a lot of other widgets now...)
- By the way, please give feedback on whether posting bug reports and feature requests in this thread is helpful, or whether it's becoming too nitpicky.
No problem, here or on GitHub, it makes the dynamic dashboard only better.
Feels like we are almost done... Except for the Self-Sufficiency calculation which is still an issue on github

Re: Dynamic Dashboards and easier theming
Sorry, I expressed myself misunderstandingly: With "minor" I just wanted to humbly express that it has low priority (not that the implementation needs minor effort).
I am happy that log screens are available on click even with a list view. Thx!
According to the alignment of the dashboard tile I will post a screenshot on GitHub as you proposed (for the time being I thought it would be a place where people with development skills are interchanging - not dummy user like me
)
As it seems to be the only tile with centered elements I thought it was not with purpose.
BTW: I like the green leaf with self-sufficiency now also in the bubble of the "classical" energy dashboard

This seems to due that this topic is in the news and updates subforum. Somehow adding attachments is not allowed. Adding them would be beneficial for issue reporting and showing off the new dashboard functionalitygizmocuz wrote: Tuesday 07 April 2026 14:47 I don't see why you should not be able to add images (but maybe for the better otherwise there will be lots of images/dashboards here and we could make a forum topic/thread about that)

Re: Dynamic Dashboards and easier theming
Looking at the screenshot below (and my own dashboard). Is it on the roadmap to match the style of the device widgets to the style of the Dashboard?
Eg remove the lightgrey/darkgray background in the widget and use the dashboard background colors and change letter color to white?
