Energy dashboard: Placement of custom widgets also to solar
My "wishlist" for an update of the energy dashboard:
1.
In the settings for the energy dashboard you can define up to three custom widgets that are visually linked to the home consumption bubble on the right hand side. This is fine for consuming device like a heat pump (see screenshot).
But for devices that are producing power it would be more logical to link them to the upper bubble with solar power. In my case, this is the sum of a small + big solar power plant.
2.
And it would be nice if the font size of the text device is bigger (in my case the weather description)

No, it would be logical to combine them into one device (dzVents can do that for you)

The solar bubble on top is already the sum of both solar plants, made with dzvents.

Ok, besides Solar panels, what else do you have that generate power?
Going back to your initial post you mention:
"But for devices that are producing power it would be more logical to link them to the upper bubble with solar power. In my case, this is the sum of a small + big solar power plant"
And that is also what the top circle is, Solar.
Regarding the text on the left, I have a textbox with sometimes 10+ items, that is why it is small.
A text can have HTML, so I suspect if you use the <font> tag, you can increase it... I use it for colors/bold

Re: Energy dashboard: Placement of custom widgets also to solar
Thank you for the explanation. It's just a suggestion, after all.
-> Top bubble:
I think it would be good if the top bubble were technology-neutral. Then it could also include a diesel generator, a fuel cell device, a small wind turbine, or micro-hydropower plants. But I'm aware, of course, that these are niche products and rarely appear in a user's everyday life.
If it's to remain exclusively solar, then so be it. And if only the total value of all PV systems can be visualized, that's fine too. I'm just glad I'm being offered this nice feature at all.
-> Font size:
OK, with long texts, that's understandable.
Thanks for the tip that text can be marked up with HTML font size. I'll give that a try.
Good night!

Re: Energy dashboard: Placement of custom widgets also to solar
I have followed the hint with HTML markup by copying the original weather description text device via dzvent to a new virtual one and manipulated font size and colour (sorry - comments in German).imautohuttraeger wrote: Thursday 12 March 2026 21:33

Code: Select all
return {
on = {
devices = {
192 -- IDX des Wetter-Text-Devices
}
},
execute = function(domoticz, device)
local zielIDX = 768 -- IDX des Ziel-Text-Devices
-- Originaltext holen
local wetterText = device.text
-- HTML Formatierung hinzufügen
local neuerText = '<a style="color:#FF8800; font-size:2em">' .. wetterText .. '</a>'
-- In Ziel-Device schreiben
domoticz.devices(zielIDX).updateText(neuerText)
domoticz.log('Wettertext kopiert und formatiert', domoticz.LOG_INFO)
end
}Now with Version 2026.1 (great stuff btw!) it is the following situation:
Device list still changes as wanted (colour and fontsize)
Utility View is showing an outdated colour (blue instead of orange) and ignores font size (although I have cleared the browser cache)
Energy Dashboard now ignores both font size and colour (colour was ignored with Version 2025.2 as well)
This is just a minor issue of course. But if anyone with an expert mind would like to take a look, I would be very pleased.

Beta 17527 should solve this issue. The reason was that certain html tags where disabled.

Re: Energy dashboard: Placement of custom widgets also to solar
Ah - thanks!. I can confirm, that <span is working with 2026.1 and the energy dashboard
However, with 2025.2, <span was not working, but <a did.
