Prowl in dzVents not working

Since latest few beta versions, Prowl is not working anymore when fired from dzVents.
E.g.

domoticz.notify('Prowl', 'Test Dz', domoticz.PRIORITY_NORMAL,nil,nil,domoticz.NSS_PROWL)

It still works when testing it in "Settings - Notifications - Prowl" and it also works when fired from Blockly script.
Any known issue here?

What if you use something simple and have the prowl messaging globally active. Do you get the message on all active notification systems including Prowl?

I only have Prowl active, but testing with

domoticz.notify('Prowl', 'Test Dz')

doesn't work either.
And if I do the same in Blockly: select subsystem "all", it does work.

And it always worked before. I use it in many dzVents scripts for years. So it seems that something has changed. But what?

In another issue someone did accidentally set domoticz.NSS_PROWL to nil in his script.
You have not done that?

Do you remember on what version it still worked in beta?

I usually install new beta's within a day or so after they have been released. And I see from my logs that it still worked at Feb 6th. After that it stopped working. So is it about 3 beta's ago?
I created a test script for this issue and I literally use this line in my test script (and similar in all my other scripts)

It seems notification from dzvents is not working at all on recent beta (17099, I still have to update to latest), so looks like a bug. I will make a github issue if needed.
If you do

It should also trigger a browser notification on top right corner. In stable it does, in beta is does not. Also Android Google Firebase notifications are not working from dzvents.

Hello erveryone,

I have the same issue with Firebase (Domoticz beta v17252 and Android App Domoticz in beta).

And in this topic, I saw : "Also Android Google Firebase notifications are not working from dzvents."
Why ? Is this feature planned to be implemented ?

For Firebase notifications setup in latest beta check the wiki for instructions. https://wiki.domoticz.com/Firebase_setup
There was also a general notification issue in dzvents but that was fixed.
So everything should work in latest beta, also sending Firebase (google) notifications with dzvents.

Hello,
I have followed the procedure to set up Firebase on both Domoticz and the Android app.
Moreover, notification tests work well from both Domoticz and the Android app.
Notifications arrive correctly on my phone from a Blocky script, but not from a dzEvents script.

Here my differents calls for notity method :
domoticz.notify('Devices non accessibles', message, domoticz.PRIORITY_HIGH,nil,381,domoticz.NSS_FIREBASE)
=> 381 is the id of my phone

domoticz.notify('Devices non accessibles', message, domoticz.PRIORITY_HIGH) => it was the call I've used before the Firebase change.

This is working for me, it sends a notification whenever I switch device Test on or off.

Thanks for your help, it does work well.
The difference is that the message I was sending was probably too long. I do receive notifications when I shorten it. Maybe a Firebase limitation ?
