Meteorologisk institutt Norway (Weather Lookup) not

Post by rini52 »

Meteorologisk institutt Norway (Weather Lookup) gives error :>
"2025-11-30 18:58:59.124 Error: Weather_home: Error getting http data!. "
Deleting the hardware and re-adding gives similar error result. Also all related devices were removed.
It worked until I did a restart of the docker container.

Any idea how to get it working again?

Thanks

Did it work before? If so, what has changed in your setup?
If not, did you fill in the location in menu Setup, Settings?

It worked before. I did fill in the lat/lon in de the setup no result. I probably did a rebuild of the container via a stack in portainer (iam not sure anymore). I did also try to setup a pp-manager also that failed with an error in the log file. Checked the plugin directory on read/write was (rwx) so also no restiction.
it wroked under the new 2025.2 (stable) untill a couple of days before. It runs on a p1 4 as a docker container . Pi4 still on previuos bullseye release but did an apt update. Difficult to get a grip on it so far.

What happens if you run the following http call from the server? You can change lat and lon to real values.

Code: Select all

curl https://api.met.no/weatherapi/locationforecast/2.0/complete.json?lat=5&lon=51

Hi Walter,
Found the solution. Apparently the portainer version was not up to date. Did apt- upgrade, portainer update, restarted docker-ce . After that no http errors and the (weather)devices were added again and hopefully they will be updated with data. I assume, what happened was that domoticz was not properly started/rebuild because of wrong portainer version/stack. Strange all my other containers (ie.. mqqt, z2m,vcode etc) worked ok.
Anyway lesson learned. If it isn't broken leave it...
Regards
