You should now put back any backups that you have made. It largely depends on your installation how many types of hardware/plugins/scripts you have installed. Copy the dbase, copy the dzVents scripts. But for a noob, not easy.

Moved this to a new topic.
What is the OS you installed? Bookworm, Trixie?
Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)
Devices/plugins: ZigbeeforDomoticz (with Xiaomi, Ikea, Tuya devices), Nefit Easy, Midea Airco, Omnik Solar, Goodwe Solar

First of all, i'm a noob with Linux, and I work with Debian 13 (Trixie)
When i use https://wiki.domoticz.com/Raspberry_Pi#Install_Domoticz, the easy way i only see this:root@raspberrypi:/home/pi# curl -sSL install.domoticz.com | sudo bash
:::
::: You are root.
::: Verifying free disk space...
:::
::: Checking apt-get for upgraded packages.... done!
:::
::: Your system is up to date! Continuing with Domoticz installation...
::: Checking for apt-utils... installed!
::: Checking for whiptail... installed!
::: Checking for git... installed!
::: Checking for curl... installed!
::: Checking for unzip... installed!
::: Checking for wget... installed!
::: Checking for sudo... installed!
::: Checking for cron... installed!
::: Checking for libudev-dev... installed!
::: Checking for libcurl4...root@raspberrypi:/home/pi#

What do i wrong?

Maybe it could not find libusb-0.1

you can download the install script here:

My problem with Domoticz has been solved. I switched from Debian Buster to Bullseye to Bookworm. Then I was able to update again, so everything is working properly again. So this item can be closed. :D

I don't have the ability to update the system and I don't have the ability to use Docker, so I made the wise decision to stay on version 2025.1 and the Domoticz project is RIP for me.

Both are rather easy. Why don't you have the ability?

Maybe I'm stupid and only know how to press the Update button, or maybe I have a very useful program that will stop working after I update the system and Domotiся starts working. I have to choose the lesser evil.

Haha, I guess not stupid, otherwise you would not have succeeded in the first place ;-)

With a bigger upgrade, I mostly use another PI and another SSD so I can test everything before I turn into production. Besides that I have an Excel (not up to date at the moment) to do rather quick a new install.

I would go for docker, basically you can do this parallel on you production pi. Just be carefull when starting to test. The steps to go to docker are clearly described in the WIKI. Just take some time, it does not have to be finished in an hour or so....

The only thing I miss is that Domoticz just checks whether the program's functional requirements are met.

The issue was in the install script. Now too late for you but for future references the install script has been updated for Trixie.

Code: Select all

sudo bash -c "$(curl -sSfL https://install.domoticz.com)"
Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)
Devices/plugins: ZigbeeforDomoticz (with Xiaomi, Ikea, Tuya devices), Nefit Easy, Midea Airco, Omnik Solar, Goodwe Solar
