TFA temp sensor not detected

Post by marcomarmo »

Hi,
I have TFA temp sensors 30.3249.02 that are not recognized by RFXtrx433E. RFX User manual told that they are supported with LaCrosse protocol.

HW version 1.3. Firmware version 1011. Firmware type Ext.
LaCRosse protocol enabled

Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot

Hi @marcomarco

I suggest, that you upgrade your RFXtrx-433E to the latest version.

Currently

RFXtrx433E Pro1 Firmware.zip 1048 2
RFXtrx433E Pro2 Firmware.zip 1051 2

As far as I know Ext firmware does not support your device and I think you need Pro2 firmware, so version 1051.

Hi,

I already spent a lot of time searching for a temperature sensor being able to connect with domoticz using RFXtrx-433 with one of the standard enabled protocols like LaCross.
I used ChatGPT intensively to search the internet for any available sensor compatible with requirements of domoticz.
I found the Renkforce Thermo/ hHygro FT007TH as a possible alternative for the Oregon THGN132N which is working for many years already. But but it did not connect.

This trial&error way of working is not very efficiënt.

I expect someone on the forum must experience a working alternative.

Your advise is VERY welcome

Kind regards
Peter

Please check the supported device list in the RFXtrx User Guide.
In this list you will see which firmware supports the FT007TH.
If you own the very old RFXtrx433 you need EXT2 firmware.
RFX-433, RFX-433EMC, RFX-868
