I tried ChatGPT< DON'T DO IT!
What settings do I need for a MODBUS H485 to read a kWh meter in Domoticz?

Is it connected via a USB port or TCPIP as the latter is what you have configured now?

There is an old python plugin for this device so perhaps you can get it running or get the modbus registers out of the code.

Edit, I see gizmocuz forked it and also updated it: https://github.com/gizmocuz/SDM630-Modbus

I see gizmocuz forked it and also updated it: https://github.com/gizmocuz/SDM630-Modbus, so I took this link.
But I don't see any new hardware!
And to take in 22 pages of digital material, does it uberhaüpt work?

What does the log file say?
You also don't see devices created in the device list (menu Setup-Devices)?

Sorry, I assumed it would just appear among the hardware. Of course, I just need to add it... I just don't see any devices.

So you do not see the hardware in menu Setup - Hardware when you installed the plugin? Or don't you see devices after you installed the plugin and activated it through menu Setup - Hardware? Do you have the settings right? What does the log file say (menu Setup - Log) about the plugin?

Okay, apologies for not being clear.
I had to add the hardware via Settings / Hardware / and the pull-down menu under “Type”: “Eastron sdm630 Modbus.” And further: “Meter Type” and set the “Baudrate” to 9600. But is it useful to set Debug to True? (See image) It's just strange that the sdm630 isn't sending any signals (Devices).

Greetings , Peter

And for the 3th time: What does the log say (menu Setup - Log) about the plugin?
And Yes, switch on debug on the plugin settings if the log does not show anything abnormal.
The ModBus ID and other settings are correct?

PS You can add the screenshot also as an attachment to your forum answer.
