Error message from Davis weather station

Post by HoogendoornJH »

I am trying to reduce the number of error messages from Domoticz. Domoticz regularly (many times per day) sends the message "Error: Davis Weather Station: Invalid bytes received!...". What can be the cause of receiving invalid bytes from the weather station (Davis Ventage Pro, connected by the datalogger to an USB-port of a Raspberry Pi) and is there a way to solve it?

Is there a wireless (RF) component in it? Perhaps check distances or disturbance. Also check wires.
If you cannot improve the data communication you can switch off the Error messages for that Hardware gateway. See the Log level switches in menu Setup - Hardware, select Davis Weather and switch off Error logging. See screenshot in https://wiki.domoticz.com/Hardware_Setu ... B_hardware

Yes, the weather station communicates wirelessly with the weather station console that the Raspberry Pi is connected to. Everything seems to be working fine and I think it would be a good idea to disable these error messages, thanks for the tip.
